I got a new GP-5 from Sonicakes's ebay store. They allowed an offer of $68 and they accepted it. $68 shipped was only 5 days, LFG!

Want more Nam and IRs, already have a PM, plus the GP5 paired with a Radar or Omni cab looks great. Wish there was a long phrase looper
Other than form factor, they should be identical under the hood. Sonicake and Valeton are the same company. The sound engine is shared beteen the two. It appears they gave th GP-5 more memory because it can store more profiles and IR's, but other than that, they should be the same.
Were you using or black with the clean nam file?
Why on God's Earth did you use that horrid Behringer pedal when GP5 and the Sonic have ample OD/Dist inside?
Same company owns them both using exactly the same software so sonically they are identical.
Hotone owns both brands, to the software they share is pretty much the same in most cases. My only gripe with these is the NAM file convertion increases the input level and kinda mess up the frequencies compared to the NAM loader on your PC (the low end becomes accentuated and the higher frequencies lose some spark). EQing them is a band aid, so they need to improve their algorithm. Hopefully they can improve their DSP use to let us use head captures to use with our own IRs, and the option to apply high and low pass filters to them. I know this can be "remedied" by using a sepate IR loader like the Mooer Radar, but it's not ideal. Cheers!
For upgrades yes GP-5 has more NAM loaders than PM and it's more expensive than PM, if you are really wanting to add more NAMs that is a great upgrade with the size of the pedal too! But I own a PM and I'm happy with it! 🙂

Pretty cool comparison!! I preferred the GP-5 in terms of dynamics, but the eq of the PM was more pleasant to my ears!
