How come it doesn't sound the same on my bass. I've seen some places online saying it should be Drop D tuning, some saying it should be a half step down on all strings. Can you tell me which is correct? And why you didn't mention the tuning in your video?

Francesco DiCosmo recorded all of the bass guitar tracks on the ‘Fallen’ album back in August – December 2002 before the album came out in March 2003. He was a session player since Evanescence had Amy Lee, Ben Moody, and David Hodges as the main band members during the time of when they recorded the album: ‘Fallen.’ Will Boyd officially joined the band in May 2003 and he played all the bass lines throughout the lives shows 2003 – 2005. In September 2005 to March of 2006 he recorded all the bass tracks for: ‘The Open Door’ album that was going to be released in late-September 2006. but in July of that same year. He left the band not wanting to do another big tour and he wanted to stay closer to the family. In late August 2006 he was replaced by Tim McCord who is the bassist of Evanescence to this day.

Thanks! Just had a complicated time making it work on a 4 string bass by playing the "missing" notes one octave higher. Pretty complex for my brain, still a beginner
