  • I would pick the bluesbreaker over any others ,the carbon is my all time favorite. I have 6 different bb circuits but there is just something about the carbons response and dynamics that i love. I tried the blues driver one time but didnt like it at all it had a very metallic sound

  • I feel like every pedal that isnt one of "those three" fits somewhere in the spectrum between transparent and amp in a box. Things like the Timmy and Lightspeed are ultra transparent. ODR1, OCD, and BD2 are in the middle. And things like the Plexi Drive or Angry Charlie are full amp style.

  • I still think the Blues Breaker is the most overrated pedal ever made. It's a waste of time.

  • I have a Joyo Baatsin that covers most or all of those sounds especially with an EQ.

  • Bluesbreaker for Rhythm playing and any of the other 3 for lead is a different way to look at it.

  • I would add a ThorpyFX Dane LE to the mix. It doesn't really emulate any of the pedals that you're using here.

  • Wish you had isolated the pedals. I'm pretty sure none of those are true bypass, all are buffered.

  • I cant stop watching these pedal demo's. I go mentally bankrupt just cause each time i watch these vids, i wanna buy the pedals????

But with the several pedals i have bought over the years, i have an affinity for the Digitech Grunge. Was the first pedal i ever bought, still have it since 2006. Something about it just feels unique with it. I do have various others and have used, sold others but i keep going back to the Digitech Grunge.

  • I just got the Fromel mod on my Blues Junior IV. The BD-2 does not sound good anymore. The Behriger TO800 sounds better.

  • I still find it amusing that in the 1980s we were all screaming, "can't you make amps that will just DO that?" … and they did. They made amps that will just do that.

Annnnnnnd now everyone is all head-over-heels about "clean pedal platform amps" (which really just means literally any amp with a decent clean channel) and buying closets full of pedals to make them sound like that. ????

  • Leader Guitars , bass guitars, acoustic guitars, and the pedals ,…multi pedals , stomp pedals , bass pedals, acoustic pedals …cables , and so plenty of different types of brands, different kind of effect… vintage 's, classic….new ….and waiting list 's , …

  • I don’t understand classifying ‘clones’ as one of three classic overdrive circuits. That decision would be driven by social factors and supply-demand, vs true uniqueness. The Rat would be a more defensible choice.

  • The BOSS SD-1 sounds nearly identical to the Wampler Tumnus V2 Overdrive. The SD-1 never dies…

  • I'm a new guitar player(2 years), but a decades long firearms owner. It's the same thing. It's an addiction.

  • Very rig dependent. I have been on the wormhole for too many years, owned every boutique from Landy to Cornish to you name it. I found a 60 dollars TS9 and bang, the sound on many albums recorded with cheap gear that we try to emulate with very expensive poo.

  • I have doubts about overdrive pedals more than 15 years. I just don't see it on my pedalboard yet something telling me to buy it.

  • I bought a Blues Driver based on the other Andertons vid, and I just cant get a good sound out of it. The gain is so fizzy, and the overall sound is shrill. I've tried a couple amps and a few guitars with the same result. I think what I'm looking for is more of an overdrive with good mids and without a lot of distortion, so Im going to try an SD1.

  • Always coming up with these videos anytime I even think of a pedal, or am I just always wanting pedals? Probably yes. Love andertons ????????

  • The dirty amp with the tube screamer sounds like a Mesa dual rectifier. The dirty amp with the blues breaker sounds like a Marshall JCM800.
