I’m curious to see if other p90’s will even fit in the route
Strange question… which thickness pick do you use?
Better off top wrapping and slamming the tailpiece onto the body = better sustain and tone
Ive just bought a SC550 and it was perfect. However I bought an artist (which is being praised all over the net) and it needed truss rod adjustment, which was something I would not have known what to do when strating out
Ordering guitars online is always hit or miss. Regardless if it's 250 or 2500.
I don't have any major shops nearby so I'm kinda doomed to order online and have returned all kind of guitars over the years. Getting a flawless one first try is like winning the lottery.
I got one of these around 6 months ago. It had a faulty selecter switch, Pickups way too low and ran out of adjustment, loose frets, gouges out of frets, bent frets a non matching tone knob, buzzy buzzy nut. Very cheap but needed a lot of work to make it playable.
Having worked in manufacturing, I wonder why people like Thomann do not employ a couple of people to spend 10 minutes checking over these mass produced cheap guitars that is sold to a customer for playability??? Lets break it down, five guitars an hour, 35 guitars a day per ' tech ', and then they could add £20.00 on the price for the sake of the argument to pay for the ' techs' and make some money and build some reputation on the side. If the guitar did not meet the standard, then do not send it to the customer. Cheap guitars are meant to be for the novice who wants to learn or try playing the guitar so the guitar should be playable, and not for an experienced pro who could probably re-fret the guitar if need be. It just doesn't make sense.
