EART GW2 Headless Guitar Review – I Was NOT Ready for This!

In this full review, I put the EART GW2 to the test—and the results honestly surprised me. With premium features like a roasted mahogany body, roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets, and a rock-solid headless tuning system, this guitar plays like something that should cost two or three times more.

Whether you’re looking for your first headless electric guitar, a mod platform, or a lightweight axe for long jam sessions, the GW2 delivers tone, comfort, and killer style in one sleek, futuristic package.

  • Tony Sir,

It seems to be one of the best value headless guitars out there ..about 330 usd

There are the "Artist" brand at about 290 usd or 344 usd for a multi scale 6 or 7 string….it's hard to even find a multi scale headless at under 1300 or 1500 usd ….so artist are amazing

I know how to get headless guitars at 189 usd but they use the fidly Chinese proprietary bridge…. Not so great

There are 2 other Amazon headless brands that can beat Eart…Coming in as low as 199 usd …

    1) Boya & Ziqi ( fanfret)
    2) Volgoa

    Thanks Tony

Ps… What we definitely DO know for sure is that 90 percent of headless brands are dreadfully over priced….. Coming in at anywhere from 850 to 4000 usd ….dreadfull

The only other big brand that bucks this trend is Stienberger at just 399 usd

  • I just bought 2 Eart TL 380's.The first one I bought and I had it for about a week and then I decided I was going to buy another one because the quality was so good and I only paid about 350 Canadian dollars so I couldn't go wrong. I had to have another one. I didn't want something to happen to one of them and then I didn't have another so this was a fantastic deal. I can't say enough about them. I've chosen to play these over any other guitar and the neck is absolutely superb.

  • Hello, nice to meet you. I just saw your review of this guitar and loved it. I've been watching videos about EART headless guitars because I want to get one, but I don't know which model to choose. I'd appreciate it if you could give me some advice on this! Greetings from Mexico City!

  • I want to add my own thing: the guitar is incredibly good. And for an incredible price. The neck wood is very well crafted. The body wood (and remember that the wood shouldn't vibrate too much to keep the energy in the string) is just right, the fretboard is fabulous. The bridge could be of higher quality, but with the price in mind… the stainless steel frets are great, but the fretboard, which requires fretting, makes things a bit more complicated, and that's precisely why – it's steel, and on top of that, stainless steel ????????. Trimming and polishing them is hard work. Anyway, I have one and that guitar is amazing.

  • measure the inductance with an lcr meter and compare it to your others. it'll give you a better idea. plus there will be calclulators online showing the inductance of certain inductance and esr reading for different magnet types.

  • i ordered one but returned it the pickups just were not good in my opinion but the neck is better feeling than most 1000+ dollar guitars

  • Thanks for sharing this, been curious on headless guitars for awhile. Of course the price has been an issue until now. Would be the complete opposite of playing my explorer and banging into everything.
    3 way switch or 5 ?

  • I bought the Latitude Cardinal last year. Complete copy of the Strandberg Boden, complete with Endura Neck. It was dirt cheap. The finish is very fragile and the screws for the cavities are so cheap they stripped out trying to take the cover off. Pickups were great. Such a fun guitar. Sold me on headless guitars. Awesome video Tony.

  • I love the Eart tele-style I got. They're great guitars in every way and I like the look. My son uses it for his school jazz band. I may buy another because my son wont give it up. ????

  • I said in a comment on your other headless review video (featuring the Bootlegger Spade) that I’d probably avoid EART and other Amazon brands. I’d consider this one, though, with the bridge tuners that don’t require a crank tool to turn them. Body shape is odd, but not pointy or ugly, and seems functional.

  • I just ordered one of these for my son for his 12th birthday. i was considering the strandberg essential but this thing is 1/3 the price. even if it needs a bit of setup work it's still a really good deal.

  • The ones for sale on Amazon have the style of bridge that needs a small wrench to tune.. not very practical live…
    This one seems more usable

  • My first ATG episode I watched was the review of the NK-C1 'Classic' Tele style guitar . Why did I watch?, because I was working with EART at the time. I helped with the American translation of the guitar's parts and attributes, and wrote their tag line. ' Express your Creativity, Amaze the World.' They put my picture on the wall at the Eart Factory. I miss the old crew, but know they are doing well.???? Thanks Tony.

  • I guess the days of buying guitar based on quality, heritage and brand value are gone. Why bother anymore when you can grab a guitar along with shampoo and socks on Amazon ????. No disrespect towards Tony, always a good reviewer and human being.

  • Cool ! I was checking that baby out during your live stream this morning. Love that guitar! And I dig a nice headless guitar. I have a couple of them, and they are both awesome. And this one looks to be awesome too. Sometimes it's nice to have something small and compact, that can still rock! And spice is the variety of life. It's not this or that. It's both! LOL Love it. I have a Harley Benton Dulahan model that is amazing. Rock on, Brother !

  • I would not buy a headless except from a real store because the hardware is unique to the guitar and if a part is damaged or loss a replacement could border on impossible to get.
Hils NEXT does many budget but headless, some with whammy's too. They sell from Anderton's and others.
