Last August, metalcore giants Poison the Well gave the world a gift: They announced they were working on their first studio album in 15 years. They unleashed the first taste, single “Trembling Level,” back in January, and set off on a spring North American tour during which they played their debut record, The Opposite of December… A Season of Separation, in full every night.
PG’s Perry Bean caught up with guitarists Ryan Primack and Vadim Taver, and bassist Noah Harmon, ahead of the band’s show at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl for this new Rig Rundown.

Love seeing Teles used to play heavy music!
ALOL!!!!!!!!!! Bring alol back plz. ????
Tf is wrong with palm muting bass?! ❤
Any informations on the bass guitar strings ? Sound so awesome ????????
That was the gayest spot to enter that “sorry for the interruption” part. Didn’t even go back to the song either. Horrible intro. 0 out of 5 stars on this one.
Saw them at CBGBs in 2001 with curl up and die and again in 2003 with Deftones at the electric factory in philly! Both times they tore the house down! Phenomenal live band!
Ryan was a big reason I finally bought a Tele. Him and Justin Beck of Glassjaw are my heroes but Ryan in particular is an absolute monster guitarist and musician that can shred any style, and he doesn't get anywhere near the love and credit he deserves for the amount of bands and guitarists he's inspired. Versions in particular is his masterpiece, those dissonant minor riffs and slide country-meets-post-hardcore parts are insane and incredibly distinct and unique. Get us some tutorials and tabs Ryan!
This was awesome. Wool = 100
I remember when they used to show up in around 2001 – 02 up in PC Beach FL. Good times
Been a fan for 25 years. Couldn't be a nicer group of guys! What an amazing band, too! Would be so cool if Seymour Duncan made those single coil sized JBs for the public. What a great set up.
Noooaaaahhh! My “slappin da” bass and rock band teacher back in the day!
Happy to see you on here. Sounding nice and BEEFY
DAMN SHOUT OUT TO THE PROGRAMME SKATE AND SOUND SHIRT!!! LEGENDARY SKATE SHOP AND DIY MUSIC VENUE!!!
the only thing i dont like about this premier rig videos is that the premier guy wont shut his mouth and barely let the memebers of the band talk about their rig he just jump right in front of them when they start talking and he does the same thing on every premier video !
very simplistic , well done
Ryan is one of my guitar hero. Thanks for your music
‘Love you PTW! they all seem like genuinely nice blokes. been a fan for 25 years
I have a couple Saturnworks pedals. Great stuff! Great video
@19:47 those armpits are wetter then a rainstorm in texas.
sad to be the 667th liker of this video
Love Perry and Vadim bro'ing down! great vibes
Legendary band. ' You come before you' still sounds fresh to this day.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I've been trying to get Ryans tone using a Fractal FM3 and this got me super close! Totally didn't know he used an Archon til now, always thought it was a 5150 III.
Just saw them in philly , show was sick !
Love that song..
Perry, if you are going to keep it up get it straight. It was a plandemic. Stop bowing to the NWO globalist agenda. Oh no! Vadim lives in a conservative town! You nazi adjacent bigot.????
We guitar players are funny. What works, works.
I saw these guys many times 25+ years ago. The very reason I started buying Telecasters. …Not Jimmy Page, not Keith Richards, not Bruce Springsteen, but Ryan Primack! True Legends! Classic Albums! Thank you PTW, and thank you PG for this!
Oh shit, I know Vadim. Our old bands used to play together. Dope that he's playing with PTW now. Recommend checking out his old band This Day Forward.
Most of those pedals ud not be able to even tell in a live setting
Telecasters ftw!
