I played and sang this with a string quartet (with my nylon strung classical Rozas) to an assembly hall of just over 1,000 students – 9th thru 12th grade and PG's and full faculty – around 1250 folks. You could hear a pin drop – the string arrangement and guitar and voice together – are something we just don't hear or expect to hear on any day of the week. It was so spectacular to witness – and they wouldn't stop clapping, but I got to perform "On the Turning Away" by Pink Floyd after it – just me on voice and my Guild 12-string. Again – the power of great music – I can still hear them clapping and bugging me at the dining hall later that afternoon ! B )… Thank you David Gates and Pink Floyd David Gilmore!
