I think he always emphasizes his lack of knowledge so that people learning guitar understand that the technicality of guitar isn’t going to make you an amazing musician, but the way you play and use that knowledge what makes you great

I play guitar, could not tell you a single chord, i know the note sounds of single strings but jyst go with how it sounds… i wish id learned how to read when i coukd still b bothered learning????
You are definitely correct when it comes to a musician that is still insecure yet confident about their stuff just trying to let it out. I’ve definitely been there and I’m still there with a lot of music I’m writing. With all that said it is one of the best fucking songs on the planet and I agree with that wholeheartedly. He’s an incredible musician. I don’t know how to write music and know what it is. I just play, so I know what that’s like as well. I can’t read shit. I just play my guitar and that’s what it is. It all just fits. As for your song you’re working on. It sounds incredible. You’re definitely over. A amazing musician in your own right. Thank you for sharing.
