  • The dialog audio, somehow so many years later, is still a struggle (seems too loud). Some day, I'll figure this out. Thank for watching.

  • I still can't decide. I bought an Explorer 1984 about ten years ago (ex demo) for about £450. It's a great guitar. Second hand these are now going for over a grand. Epiphone are knocking out so,e great guitars now. If they give their passive pick ups a bit more grunt, they will be stiff competition for Gibson. Especially as Gibson have made some serious mistakes over the last few years.

  • I am a regular viewer of your channel. I really like your videos, very beautiful videos, I get a lot of inspiration in my mind. Can you tell me when I can get your next video?

  • I got to give props to Kirk for making a signature guitar with a tier 1 name and be affordable. Lesser named signature guitars are priced higher than that.

I would prefer to buy my guitars from different Asian counties out of spite and principle ????

  • I do like some of the more expensive epiphones, such as the prophecy and customs. They look and play great

  • It's a great question Scott. I think the inspired by Gibson does lend a bit of cachet to it being a premium, as well as (hopefully) the quality of the setup compared to budget brands. The Epiphone Widows I think we're fairly priced for what they are. A signature guitar (either Epi, Fender or Gibson) is always going to attach a premium as well as I feel they are chasing collectors more than players. I also agree with you that you would hope at the more premium price point that it would include more traditional woods.

  • I think the overflow of "decent" affordable guitars has caused people to look down upon the long lasting brands like they are ripping you off. I've seen couple interesting videos by guys smarter than me saying that Gibson for example has not kept up with rate inflation (they actually should cost more ????), Also if Gibson increased their prices comparatively at the same rate as Fender they would actually cost an additional $1000.

What people are missing is the human aspect behind a brand and who it employes, Should they fire everyone to save us money? Epiphone has shipping, distributing, customer service (as non existent as some may seem). Where as some of these other brands have no employees and who knows if its anything more than one person.
