  • My friend! Great review! The problem with Garage Band is that it doesn't depend on GP5 – it's a feature of recording tracks in Garage Band. The recording is shifted by the size of the countdown before recording, but this countdown delay does not affect the midi drums, so all other tracks are shifted relative to the drums. If the drums are made into a simple audio track (wav), then the recording of drums and guitars will be synchronized in time.

  • Thanks for the video! Just got mine 2 days ago and was pretty impressed with it. Also ordered the M-Vave Chocolate Plus Wireless Midi. Hope you make another video with the chocolate plus.

  • As usual the sounds are like a beehive in these type of units as soon you use distortion tones. It is cheap and sounds cheap too. And too much delay and effects does not convince at all…

  • Though you said it's a sponsored video, I do appreciate that your opinions are honest and unbiased. This is helpful.

  • Valeton's Suite will not display in editing view on my brand new PC even with the latest Windows 11 running? It works fine on Android but I don't want to use my Android phone that has access to my bank accounts for music. For the Valeton editing software to work on my phone, the user must allow intrusive access to the phone's memory, contacts, images, location etc. all of which are transmitted to Valeton unencrypted and stored on a server in China. Did you know that? When I wrote to Valeton support, they merely suggested resetting the GP5 and trying a different USB slot although I already told them that the GP5 connects to my PC but that there is a flaw in the Valeton software suite not showing the editing screen. So, from my personal experience and blowing money on this, I would never recommend it.

  • I have a brand new lap with Windows 11 with all the necessary drivers, software and updates, and although my GP5 is recognized by Windows as well as Valeton Suite, the Valeton Suite does not show the edit screen for me to edit the GP5. It works fine on my Android phone – but not on my PC. Valeton came back with nonsense such as to use another USB port, a USB-hub or reset the GP5. This is a Valeton software issue. Their support sucks!

  • This is a great pedal for the money and a great portable solution. It's in my travel guitar setup. If I was still playing live, this really would not cut it. It sounds decent direct, but into my modeling amp set up, tonex is just way better to my ears. Direct into my DAW, Amplitube and Tonex apps are still my preference.

  • Great video as always! Perfecto, am interested to know how the pitch shifting in this pedal works and latency. If it can achieve drop pedal tracking, I would buy this in a heartbeat, the other features are a plus!

  • I use it on my board and replaced a preamp, IR cab and a Noisegate for my "dry signal" in the wet/dry/wet board but now it's also stereo wet/wet/wet because i went ahead and routed it as a stereo secondary rig. Pretty awesome. Just the versatility I was looking for and I can do more with it than the Tonex One because of all of the delays, reverbs, and modulations. Love it now. Had to make sure I wasn't going through all the other pre-modulation pedals on my rig and just ran it in front of a TCE infinite sample sustainer and use an ABY switch….Worked out great after that and the noise issues went away after rearranging it. Badass. I have it working with the MVAVE Chocolate plus and the pedal is powered by a USB outlet on my Mosky ISO-10 power supply. KILLER! Just so you know the GP-5 HAS to be powered by the USB via the Chocolate Plus's USB out and the Chocolate plus needs to be powered by external USB outlet in order for the setup to work. It WILL NOT work with 9V and connecting the Chocolate plus.

  • After owning the Pockter Master by Sonicake, And Products Like Hotone Jogg and Omni IR/Binary Series, I had to get this. This guy is no Joke and can be a team member on Your board or do it all in one. I recommend You finding Your Favorite NAM (Choptones, Strange Angels, Tone3000) and IR patches. A small IR box like Mvave and they’re chocolate controller can really turn this into a small Gigging Rig

  • I got the 200LT, and your videos are helpful. Typically, I play clean and solo with a little boost in volume, gain and OD, and then return. So I don't need to turn effects on or off while playing…just switch up and down from rhythm patch to solo patch and back. And I need different patch sets for different guitars, but that's about all the variety I need.

I'd like to know more about how to organize my patches into selected adjacent slots so I can footswitch up or down for different solos during a song.

BTW, I'd have bought the bomber jacket from your store if you had it in XXL.

  • Great review ???? However you stated at around 6:00 "Not all of the tones used in the jam are from the Gp5. That statement makes it difficult to evaluate this pedal because our ears are the only thing we have to decide what the pedal sounds like. ???? Would also like to hear Valetons feedback on the issues that you brought up here to see if they are really listening and will address these issues in updates very soon. If they do, it will go a long way towards their reputation and selling a lot more units. It definitely is a great bang for the buck, but for many the latency and other issues can be a deal breaker as there is so much competing pedals out now.

  • to resolve that cutting sound switching to another patch you need to add a separate reverb effect in the last chain of your pedal board

  • same thing on M vave Ann black box it has also cutting the sound when you switching to another patch

  • As you say, it's inexpensive, so I am buying it (waiting to arrive in fact) just to see how it sounds.
I plan not to change presets on the fly, because I have two lines of effects and alternate between them with a GigRig wetter box, so I think it will be just fine as secondary line.

  • i mainly use mine for playing through my headphones so i can practice silently. i also used it in my effects loop of my MT15 amp to add some modulation effects. Works great for both those applications.

  • Perfecto, I fully comprehend your point of view: use that as a backup. Wait yourself to see how useful it'll be in the right hands around the world. Of course, it can't be compared with high-end gear, but it does the job as a Swiss knife.
