Great tips! I'm a beginner, just out of curiosity, how can a player get better at knowing where they are on the fretboard without always looking? Is that just something that comes over time?
Great tips, I don't do the tremlos because with a 12 string guitar it's just not accommodating.
One thing I'd like to add , when it comes to using a metronome beginners tend to set the pace too fast and I've learned to set the pace slightly slower when I practice to it because when the adrenaline gets pumping I'm not too far off to what it should be.
Ive also found it's a good idea to toss in a couple of slower numbers after every third or fourth song, keeps it interesting and again keeps me from playing too fast
