he’s absolutely right, i say this as someone has own several bass guitars. most bass players are pretenders who act like their job is hard, few actually add a counter rhythm to the guitar.
The hardest part about bass is dropping the ego and serving the band, something that’s impossible for a lot of lead players.

well here's the thing.. every instrument has its part in songs that can be played and sound really good, requiring little skill to master, but when it comes when push comes to shove, no matter what your instrument is, if you want to master it, it's going be difficult. ????

Well, let’s be real here. I’ve played cello violin tenor saxophone guitar and bass and I have to say base is the easiest one. You can make it difficult but but in their basic forms, it’s probably one of the easiest things to play and below that would be drums sorry drummers
