????I had the concept of this video after another great livestream, and thought how sad this guy has never experienced the best part of being a creator on YouTube. The Guitar Community. People, Not Bots!
????It was going to be a message of hope he’d be able to turn course, restart and experience Guitar YouTube for what it is. Then he released a double down rebuttal video.
????So with this video, I think even at only 100-200 views it probably will get we will still bring more attention to the brands he “partnered” with than his videos did. I feel sorry for people like that. Who is that guy kidding anyway?! Gaming the system is cheating. I am surprised some of the brands he’s partnered with haven’t done a little more research about who they are partnering with. It takes about two seconds to find out if subs are being bought by looking at the channel metrics. Sure they can eat the costs, but do they really want to be associated with someone who’s clearly gaming the system for his own benefit rather than the benefit of the viewers and brand itself? Just something they should considering because that association could end up damaging their reputation more than the cost of giving out a freebie to that channel for review.

Hi Brian, over on my little hobby channel I average about 100 views per post, but they're genuine views and there's a small community who comment on every post and it means a lot to me. I reply to every single comment, and have made some good friends who have channels similar to mine that post a three minute tune once a week. There's a couple of people I collaborate with now and again and we play on each others posts. If I cheated to grow the channel all I'd be doing would be kidding myself.

A long time ago I belonged to a guitar forum. It died out, found a few of these guitar friends on Facebook but that is pictures of their cats and stuff. Then … then I did YouTube. A whole world of guitar friends is right here. That is the gold!

It kinda sad to see smaller channels never get exposure in the YouTube algorithm, even with smaller channels, theres still views and comments from mostly bots. The search on YouTube is broken too, everything YouTube doesn't want you to see is so hard to find. If that's his way of generating income for himself, it doesn't affect me, and that's his business. I don't hes trying to want to be in the YouTube guitar community, if he did he would approach it differently. And if you are in it for income, well, its not enough time to put into the community. Guitar channels are mostly about selling you stuff anyhow, bigger the channel the more expensive gear they get to keep, or even thousand dollars sponsors, or free trip to guitar world. Its all apart of business.
