  • Great phrasing. Nice guitar too with the humbucker added— Reminds me of a Django lick on "'Blues En Mineur"'.
These videos of David's are absolutely fascinating.
Thank you David and i wish you much success.

  • David, thanks so much for taking the time to teach us these licks. However as I keep asking what would be most helpful would be a CD or at least an MP3 of these backing tracks but extended to about 4 minutes or so long so that we can practice the licks and maybe turn them into a song. Plenty of swinging Bb and Cm grooves etc to really stretch out on. Would you please be so kind as to consider doing this. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the comment! Tab, notation, jam tracks and more will be packaged with the full course, which is set to release in a month or so. Stay tuned!

  • It would be great if you could throw up some tabs on these licks for us. I appreciate watching your posts even though they're over my head, I still feel like I learn a little more each time. Thanks for sharing!

  • Great stuff, David. I'm learning a lot from your videos.

I see you are adapting lots of piano stuff to guitar. Would you consider something by Wes Montgomery that shows the octave playing he does?

  • Amazing lick. Thanks! What's even better about this video is the fact that no one tried to throw in a snide beef reference.

  • Thank you so much David. I've been watching all your video's and have learned a lot about the 2-5-1 progression and the implied chord substitutions that you so eloquently explain. I really appreciate how you refer to the chord tones of each lick, and not something like: "G sting 5th fret to G sting 7th fret". Please keep 'em coming.
