TERRIBLE! The amp already had overdrive so we have NO idea what the pedal can do.

I do believe that I just listened to what Jimi Hendrix's experimentation and choice of floor kit would have been, had he lived a full life. I'm sorry to say – but I have to be honest, that's how we all learn – that it's not my particular cup of tea, but holy luv-a-liftin', that is a fanTASTic sounding pedal! Just amazing the tonal sculpturing this pedal seems to have, with a little hair/fuzziness all over the map. Great demo, mate!

Caline makes some really good stuff! I have basically replaced all of my "high end" pedals with Caline over the past year or so, if my board gets stolen (again) I'm only out $150 or so. My big box RAT, MXR, Boss, and EH stuff stays at home these days.

There is no technical difference between the first OB and this recent BIG ORANGE: inside are the same OPAMP TL072.

I thought it was a Colorsound Power Boost clone but it doesn't have as much gain as a PB.

It sounds like a nice, open sounding Tube Screamer type thing.
well…I don't know about the crushing part,but it does sound decent .
I have 2 CP-18 pedals. Why should I buy one of these? Updated graphics?
The orange burst is an EXOTIC FX BB clone, which by all accounts is basically a tubescreamer with separate bass and treble controls. Or, really, the addition of a bass control. Compresses more and boosts mids like a TS. This one sounds more amp-like to me, less compressed, more dynamic. I like it, may have to get me one. But, a shootout would be a great way to find out!
Orange burst is far superior. It's richer and is far more distorted. This is a much thinner low gain pedal like the pure sky or the highway man. It sounds ok but the orange burst sounds far more complex in texture. This one sounds like a cheap overdrive. Nobody can seem to be sure what they even based it off.

Which pedal do you like more, the Caline Big Orange or the Rowin Dumbler?
As so many others here have said, you need to tell us what the difference is between this and the Orange Burst, if any.
We absolutely need a comparison to the Orange Burst
After having watched your test of the Caline Orange (some years ago) I bought this predecessor. The original Orange is a real steal for the price. I am using it to "thicken" single coils. I assume that this new one is similarly good. Thanks for testing all this budget stuff.

OCD is better
Great sounding OD for sure! Maybe stating the obvious, but a couple of cool things about pedals like this is that 1) since they’re inexpensive, if you don’t like the tone, no big deal, get rid of it and 2) if you do like it and it breaks, no biggie, just replace it! I will add that I have a couple of Calines and they’re built pretty well! ????????????????
How does this compare to the Orange Burst ?
I've got their BB clone, and it's a great pedal.
Caline is making some killer pedals (at a decent price) and this is one of them. I am having fun with the Highwayman I got from you and the Ghost Rain is on my buy list. Good job in bringing these to our attention!
