I would never waste my money on that EBMM
Of course JPM 100 is iconic, but in this video, soundwise, JP6 BFR is clear winner. Specially cleans are lot better.

I had 5 music man jp and the only thing I dislike is the crunchlab pickup, this config is dark and muffled. I try to find the recipe to give treble to it
JP6 has better grip/playability on my hands .. I have tested them both.
I still don't think anything tops the JP100. And Steve's Specials are so under rated. I wish Ibanez would do like a tribute model maybe not exactly the same Picasso print if JP owns that and Ibanez can't do it for some legal reasons either way wish they'd re=release these somehow.

JPM is better
I have a P2 and a P3…love them to death. The Music Man stuff is super well-built and the attention to detail is top-notch. I just never got on with them. I bought one of the early JP 7-strings, but always go back to my Universes. ????????♂️

I had both guitars… well – every version of the music man too… The Ibanez CANNOT COMPARE at all. The construction on the Ibanez was just so-so….. you might prefer the pickups tho. But the music man plays like a modern guitar… the Ibanez plays like…. almost an old jackson
