  • Great lesson. I was trying to find the tab for it on your FBC site and didn't see a listing for "Gypsy Jazz Guitar Chords for Fingerstyle Blues". Is it listed under a different name?

  • Thank you, an exceptionally succinct comprehension of music theory, and how to apply it in practice; appreciated, not to omit the reality that you are a great musician too.Respect!

  • That was cool David. Maybe you and I were there in the BH workshop on the same day! I took a few from the master and my teacher was very close to him. The scale tones you used are right out of his dim 6 scale and sound great finger style. I even tried using the DOMINANT 7 dim scale on the E min for a cool finish:
    xx7878
    xx4545
    x6757
    x3424
    x2313
    x0223

  • Nice job, liked and subscribed…I particularly liked how you referenced other famous songs that contained some of those chord shapes

  • Great lesson–I know what I'll (happily!) be doing for the next month or so! After watching this I went back and listened to your TrueFire tune/lesson Letter to Alfred–they seem to pair nicely. Anyway, thanks, David–and thanks to Barry Harris too!

  • Thank you David for another great lesson! I have always loved the playing of Leon Redbone, and this lesson leads down some of his alleys. Walking Stick and the like.

  • Once again…….David has not just merely cracked open the door into new and exciting directions into playing diverse fingerstyle blues guitar……..he's kicked it wide open!! I always loved David's similar examples on his fantastic "New School Fingerstyle" course……..especially on his 'Bryant on Six' arrangement but this opens up our fingerpickin' into an entirely new level!! Plus……Once again……..love it!!  Jim C.
