This is my review for the Mimiq doubler pedal by TC Electronic
When you are double tracking guitars, you record one track to the left and then you re-record the same part and pan it to the right. The Mimiq pedal takes care of that, you record your part once and the Mimiq does the double tracking for you!
In this video I will show you how this awesome pedal works and the method of use in which I think the Mimiq delivers the best results.

it's been a while since this pedal was produced, I need one cause in a couple of years, the production of this pedal will stop and the price will skyrocket
would have been great to actually compare the "clean" sound and the "doubled" sound
Why the fuck would they put the EFFECT on the LEFT and the DRY on the RIGHT, if the EFFECT plays out of the RIGHT speaker, and the DRY plays out of the LEFT speaker? Why not just call the knobs LEFT and RIGHT, and make them actual left and right volumes? Hello? McFly!
Excellent review!
Would this work with a microphone for vocals?
……meh, maybe not…
Great job- explanation for newbs — anyone interested in heavy tones and dual amp setup check out my rundown : https://youtu.be/vmE0kxETnm0
Thanks for your vids David- I come across them often! – james
I've had the mimiq for a few years. It's downright neato for guitar… but using it for vocals is where it's at for me.
where do you put in in th pedal chain?
Hi in this video you used a Ibanez Premium or Prestige?
Great Review❤
Bro just stfu and play
This isn’t meant for two amp use just use an a/b pedal for that
Sick!!!!
"There's no difference", said by people listening with their mono phone speaker ????????
Thanks David Wallimann.
I subscribed!
I’m a single guitarist in a band and I use this live to thicken up my tone. I get a lot of compliments but rarely do I give away my secret.
Can this be used in a live performance if I bring two separate amps to the gig?
Hi David, I've recently got this pedal and also a hotone ampero 2 stomp
The stomp has two inputs and allows you to run two alp chains. Assuming I could setup a similar chain (two amps) like you did with the axefx?
Ive seen in the manual that the mimiq can also be run in the effects loop..
Can you use it on bass guitar?
Fantastic!
Great Video man! Thank you!
is this an overdrive pedal ??
Note: 2:15 Unless you’re Randy Rhoads
Fractal audio – OK, TC Electronic – OK, The guitar – OK. But why the hell you are using this bull$hit Logic?
What does the internal switches do?
1:49 i hear 0 difference 😀
So is it better before or after stereo delay effect?
Crushed it man thank you
First time and subscribe right away ! Love the pace and explanation and the tone of your vid! very good !
Can i put the pedal after a cabinet simulator?
How can I use this pedal live ? Guitar into the pedal and the axe fx with xlr out left/right to the PA?
in a stereo setup does it matter if i run dirt and other pedals before the mimic before splitting into two hi gain amps?
I have questions- will this still sound good and be noticeable w/o a stereo setup, meaning with only a single speaker amp?
