  • Thanks again for Performer Magazine and Elixir Strings for selecting me as their artist of the month 🙂

Lol… don't pull all-night editing sessions, kids. This is how we end up with mistakes…

  • Does the all acoustic model sound any different from this acoustic/electric model?

  • One of the best guitar reviews I’ve seen of any guitar let alone this unique acoustic electric. You covered just about every aspect of the guitar I can think of. Good mix of explaining the specs and your opinions and demoing the various options of playing the sound of the guitar. Keep up the good work! Thanks

  • with the bass turned up made it more fuller sound like the look of it, One I need to play for myself to give a true opinion.

  • Because I’m a sucker for oddball, niche-y guitars (especially inexpensive ones) I took the plunge with one of these, only the version I bought (also from Sam Ash) is called the Forte Port Koa 10.

I think I like it; it’s basically a 12-string guitar without the lowest two strings octaved. It’s not satin finished, unfortunately; heavily coated and because it’s koa it’s got a lot more heft to it.

I had my luthier build a custom nut to improve the string spacing for better playability because I mainly fingerpick, but it’s a funky little piece to experiment with that also has really good electronics and I feel that does give you a lot for the money.

  • Hey dude, I just got this guitar it was advertised as new however it seems i cant get it working on an amp. Is there anything im doing wrong with the on board computer screen or settings that would make it not work with an amp. I feel like they gave me something used and broken then told me it was new. I really dont think its the amp becuase the amp makes sound when plugging in the guitar when the amp is on.

  • Good review overall that featured decent acoustic playing. I thought the singing during the song was too effeminate for a male vocalist, but to each his own I guess.

  • Hunter your the man bro. I lost all my electric stuff when my wife left. A year later i just now ordered that guitar. I played this one at the music store and the port holes sound amazing coming at my ear from the hole on side top

  • Agufish- Thanks for the video! The design looks nice! It’s always nicer to hear the sound of the acoustic guitar in person.
Where is this guitar made from?

  • Very cool. I'm hoping to eventually get the Koa version of this guitar. Thanks for continuing to do Michael Kelly review videos, even though they don't get as many hits as some of the better known brands. I don't own one, but am very interested in getting one sometime in the future…..

  • If you're a metal guitar player, and you can go to acoustic and write a whole song with an acoustic guitar, you know that you have become a true musician. Yeah, you can chug all day long with a shit ton of distortion. But, acoustic proves that you're more versatile and know how to truly play guitar. Great demo, great song, great review

  • Just wanted to say that I loved the demo song. And thanks for the review.. as an acoustic player I was really interested in how this modern shape would sound, and overall sounds like a well-rounded affordable guitar! Now if I can get over the appearance of the bridge..

  • Hunter, if you ever have to mic an acoustic again please do it closer to the neck. Somehow it sounded more trebly and dead than the piezo.
