  • he was a bit mean and sour while talking but he stillplays well, for his age at least!

  • Super nice fella. He approached me at a show he did with Lynch Mob and Yngwie in Houston. Just very nice, asked about the sound, of course I told him and we had a nice few minute chat. But I like him as a person but as a guitarist, he is one of a kind and I just love his style if he even actually has one. He does so many great things. I love it all. Thanks for all the music George. We love ya man. God Bless.

  • And this yet again on YouTube, is another perfect example of why I don't care for George's playing anymore. Here, he sounds like he's just pasting together disjointed licks and ideas with absolutely zero structure, forethought, or melody. George hasn't sounded inspired or passionate since the early 90s with Lynch Mob. I don't know what happened to his playing from his glory days in the 80s and 90s. He used be very melodic and put thought into his solos. Now his playing is a mess and uninteresting. I suppose we as Dokken fans should give a LOT of credit to the great Producer, Michael Wagener for keeping George focused and on-point in the Studio and getting the best out of him back then. George has been credited as being an early-80s Guitar Hero, but he doesn't hold a candle to Randy Rhoads. It's not even CLOSE.

  • Been a fan since they came out years ago. It's difficult to watch, with age creeping in. It's not the same and it happens to us all. It's terrible such talent fades.

  • George always plays and sounds better when he is using amps that aren't his, like in this clinic.

  • His overall style has changed dramatically over the years.I wouldn't have been interested in him if he had played like this back then. Wish him well.

  • Having followed guitarists since Yngwie's debut, l can't for the life of me understand Lynch, Bratta, Beach, Gilbert, with their enormous skill sets wasting so many years with incredibly mediocre bands. Mr Big is the biggest mystery with the talent overflowing????
