Discocer how to play a II-V-I phrase and evoke a little bit of Django Reinhardt’s sound.

Here’s your recipe:

II – Play the 2nd degree as a Dom7 chord and play a half-dim arpeggio starting on its 3rd degree (for example – C#m7b5 over A7; the notes are C#, E, G, B).

V7 – Play a dimMAJ7 arpeggio from the 7th degree of the Dom7 chord
(for example: Cdim; the notes are C, Eb, F#, B).

I – Play a simple enclosure around the tonic and and a 6/9 chord to end the sequence.

Sound complicated?
Well, it’s so much simpler in the video-
Yours,
Yaakov
