Shout out to bands who bring out the gear and really put on a show. Saw Conan when Jon had 4 Emperor 4x12s and a Beta Lead preamp into a 1000 watt power amplifier. With that tuning and tone it was a perfect waterfall of sound. I want one of those Matamp style preamps now.

Conan is such a great inspiration for me, thank you for this detailed interview/rig rundown! Love this format! Would love to see the bass rig too, but since I’m obsessed with heavy down tuned guitar sounds this is just perfectly fine. Who needs a bassist anyways lol
They were so good in Houston. I forgot my magic pedals fuzzthrone to have him sign it. They were limited to 100 pieces and 25 of each graphic. I have a dragon slayer one. Thats one of the pedals that will never ever leave my collection. I use it a lot and it’s one of the best, heaviest fuzzes on the planet. Conan is prob my favorite band. So heavy! Thanks for the rig rundown!
