  • What would really set this apart, would be to make the DAW much more useful by adding a stereo set of combo XLR/TRS input jacks. It would be nice to be able to connect to keyboards, a stereo vocal processor source, a drum machine… Etc.
With all it has to offer, this seems like such a no-brainer that was totally overlooked.
There’s so much to like about this, including the DAW. But that’s the only thing stopping me from being totally all in.
Even if it had at least a USB-C input, to give you the option of connecting a stereo interface… Or even at the very, very least… A single TRS quarter inch stereo audio input.
But of course, dual XLR/TRS stereo inputs would really be what would make this special unit, for having a unit that you can lay down full demo ideas, or even produce a pretty decent recording, in the comfort of your bedroom/dorm/living room. Without having to, like in my case, go downstairs and fire everything up just to notepad ideas with other parts and instruments, if desired.
I wonder if this was thought about, and for some reason they decided against it…?

  • I am not seeing the backside of this unit where anything comes out of it. Can I bypass the lava speaker and run my nice studio speakers instead? How can I enter my Eventide harmonizer?
How many MIKE inputs are there so two or more singers can sing at the same time? Do I need to buy a small sub mixer for doing these kind of things?
Why does it say that the stand is included but on the order page it says that the stand is an additional $80?
How can I extract the mixes to a flash drive or a computer?
Can I move eight tracks all at once to the DAW or would I need a sub mixer for that?
What is the discount for an early purchase and when are the units expected to be out and delivered?
Thank you very much for answering my questions. I am interested.

  • Contrary to what many here are saying, this project is actually doing quite well on Kickstarter with almost 2000 backers (my humble self included), and about one million pounds already pledged in less than a week. The Lava Studio Amp is already a success.

  • Wait, they want you to buy a separate touch screen and little alarm clock speaker? ???????? I thought this was like AmpliTube wtf good luck selling that ????

  • When Fractal upgrade the 8 year old hardware to make it 50x more powerful and add AI combined with a refreshed UI, it’ll be game changing.

  • I'm so tired of touchscreen interfaces. First they became the norm with phones, then cars and now everything else. I want something with heavy duty knobs and switches, not a freaking iPad. But on the other hand I have zero interest in new modelers at this point, they are just glorified multifx units.

  • Interesting and for some people who like all the different things you can fiddle with to get that exact sound they are looking for it would be a nice addition to thier equipment. Personally I don't like menues and many options on an amp. Plug in, turn up the volume and grain, tweek the bass and treble, maybe throw in a reverb or delay pedal, adjust your guitar volume and tone controls and that's it.

  • Not the most convincing amp sounds but they fucking nailed the OfficeMax esthetic.

They really need to put some $$$ into product design if they want to market this as a guitar amp. They have to know that.

  • its not as stupid as it sounds most of the below comments are stupid enough

  • The spark has been doing this for years. The screen is not needed. Remove the screen, and it's a $300 practice amp. This thing isn't going to sell well because of the price.

  • FYI, this doesn't come with the stand as stated in the beginning of the video. The stand is a $99 add-on.

  • Why can't I use it with my smartphone, I already have a screen bro. This is stupid
