The Dark Matter is an excellent pedal and at a great price, a really good all round pedal for me, love using mine especially for low gain which totally suits a lot of my playing but also does the high gain/distortion tones really well, so it does pretty much most of the heavier sounds I ever need and use it for, picked a used one up for just less the £20 in UK last year and is one of the best 20 quids I’ve ever spent.
These kids these days know even less than we did at that age. What a useless generation.
This pedal is so noizy, that my silenser asked for a day off.
As much as I like the “fangs”, this one seems like it plays with others much better.
Even at full gain, the best this pedal can do is classic rock. Definitely NOT good enough for metal!!! There’s a reason it can be bought so cheaply. If you’re gonna put out any money at all, buy a pedal the can run the FULL gamut! From beautiful cleans, to middle ground classic rock then to full gain rip your face off metal!!!’ Otherwise, this pedal is absolutely WORTHLESS!!!

I used this for a Thin Lizzy tribute show on bass. It was perfect.

Not that I do not appreciate a good Metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal scream, but this one is more of a Hardraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack pedal
Be nice to just hear the pedal on one guitar.
A lot of distortions have sweet spots on the gain (usually really high) where people leave the knob. The Dark Matter sounds terrific no matter where the gain knob is. An absurdly great pedal for $50!
Now and then when I see EystchPi,
He takes me away to that special place
And if I stare too long, I'd probably break down and cry
