Dean “Dime” Razorback Review & Demo. Pantera on a Budget!

If you’re a guitar player, new or seasoned, young or old, you most likely know who Dimebag Darrel of Pantera and Damageplan fame is. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest shredders of all time. He also played some of the most unique looking guitars ever. Originally produced by Washburn, the Razorback was one of many shape the metal icon rocked on stage. Dean has since made them (until as of late when the Dimebag Estate sued Dean Guitars) in all sorts of level of price. This model discussed here is one of the more budget friendly models, but it doesn’t skimp on tone or playability! Go check it out for yourself if you’re interested!

  • Found one on the side of the road, interestingly also had a busted input jack! Installed a new jack and it was ready to rock, fun guitar

  • Can someone help me find the easiest and most cost effective way to get a floating trem in one of these I have a similar guitar and access to a machine shop if I need to route holes or pockets I’d prefer something like a Vega trem but if there is a similar option that’s cheaper or keeps me from having to route that would be nice

  • I see that it has a black plate in the back (because it’s a bolt on neck) can you reach the 20-22 fret with no problem? Is it comfortable to play those notes?
