Today it’s the Champion II 25 by Fender. It’s an extremely popular and cheap guitar practice amp, but is that popularity justified. Let’s see how good it is.
I hope you enjoy!

  • Is it just me, or I hear very obvious sound compression/limiting ? Like at 17:40 it almost seems someone is constantly adjusting volume of the amp. And I know this may be an issue, as I have a different desktop amp that does this, and it is super annoying.

  • I just wish when YouTubers review budget beginner amps, they would use budget beginner guitars, 99% of beginners would be using a squire or equivalent entry level axe… Because lets face it, any good guitarist using a £2000 guitar on a bargain basement amp, it's going to still sound amazing ???????? I want to know what my cheap guitar will sound like with my cheap gear , same goes for budget pedals

  • Unless this is a different Fender Champion ll 25 each of those voices has a different Fender amp name and I think there are 6 or 7 different Fender amps and about another 5 or 6 voicings, one being 90's alt rack, one metal for shredders to make noise (that only they can love) and two or 3 British amps, .

  • This amp sounds so good from clean to 'medium hair' I can see a lot of folks skipping the four High Gain voice models.

  • I have the 50 combined with a squire paranormal esquire for my first setup, budget friendly & so far I love them, with an sd 1 of course

  • Finally….a super musician putting this equipment through its paces and an honest opinion. I am a noodler and very basic player so i thought this amp would be fine for practice around the house. I decided to buy one. For me i know it will do a good job. Thanks for the review. Also you now have a new subscriber. Cheers from Oklahoma, USA !

  • I own 12 electric guitars ..all Fenders and Gibsons but no amplifiers ..i do not like any amps ,not a single one appeals to me in any way , i find them all to be basically cheap Rubbish , even the expensive amps are Garbage .so have to stick to playing my guitars acoustically.

  • With the pedals and the amp modulations it's clipping really bad. Amps like these don't take pedals to well.

  • As soon as you increase both volume and gain, say 5 and 5, it sounds a bit muddy, nasal, in some of these amp models… It's a matter of the modeling design and it's the same for bigger models, like my Champion 40… This could be improved with a Jensen speaker, for a more clear sound.. Of course, there is the cheaper and readily available option of seriously working the Treble and Bass knobs to get the sound that you like… These small Fender amps have got something very vintage and sexy about them, despite being a pain in the … to work with some times… Nice review, Elmo, thanks!

  • I bought this amp a few weeks ago and I really like it but is it just me or on some of the "VOICE" settings (especially on some of the Fender Classic and Fender Modern options) the volume is ridiculously low without any GAIN turned on?
