  • First I’d like to say I love these new backing tracks!!!! I would imagine it takes time and effort to produce these tracks as well as some creativity. I for one appreciate the fact that you take the time to create them so we can hear the gear in a musical context instead of just jamming out. As for this Joyo amp I really love the simplicity of it and the overall tones. Although solid state amps can and do sound great, I’m a sucker for a tube amp!!! I definitely have issues ????????????!!!! Great video Shane !! Cheers!!????????????????????????????????????????????

  • I've heard grill cloth is meant to be as loose as it can be without being visibly saggy so that it behaves more passively in the air pressure waves?

  • Hey Shane, How does the Joyo Sweet Baby amp sound with the Sweet Baby pedal? Do they mesh well together or they clash? When it comes to gear for playing the Blues I look for your channel for advice. Thanks for being you.

  • I really want one of these. Unfortunately I don't own a house. I've got roommates. By the time I have my own place, these things will cost $1000.

  • How does a strat neck sound with amp volume about 5, sweet baby OD dimed for lite to mod crunch – SRV riffs?

  • Wow, I'm surprised at how nice the top on that Harley Benton looks, that's impressive considering their price.

  • Wonderful little cheap amp, I modded it with a 10' Celestion 30, and JJ tubes, so it gets less breakup fully cranked but with greasy pump-up! It doesn't take stage space but fills it up enough, love it!

  • G'day Shane,, was wondering whether you could do a quick demo of this amp for the benefit of harp players. The Fender Champ is the holy grail obviously in that respect, but it'd be awesome if this little amp did a s gooda job for a fraction of the cost. Thanks Cob. Nice video

  • Wow… what… wait…? A Fender Champ 57 clone…. that actually sounds like (and LOOKS like {except for the color}) a '57 Champ?!?! At a ridiculously low price? Mmm…. do really need another amp? Maybe….. WTF… hell YES!

Great review. I could tell you liked this cheap (inexpensive) little amp just from the look on your face. The was a reason so many rock guitarists used the Champ on their records back in the '60s, that tone cuts through a busy rock mix with minimal EQ.

  • should this work with any pedals? I initially tried a tuner, wah, and a nano big muff in front of it and it kind of selr-oscillates. idk if that's the right term tbh. then I tried just the big muff and it does the same thing

  • Thanks for another great review Shane. Is there a difference between the Artist tweed 5w and this Joyo? The latter does not appear on the Artist New Zealand website.

  • Joyo seem to make a lot of decent products. I have a couple of them. but, not this one. Some of the cheap ones have fake cloth too other than saggy.

  • Great demo Shane. I have heard reviews of this amp that sounded really bad. This was not one of them. I have the chance to get one of these amps. I guess I am going to have to go see for myself. Thanks for posting this review

  • Mine just arrived this afternoon. It's a beefy little amplifier, and it sounds much bigger than it looks. I had a Fender Champion 600 a few years ago, but the Joyo sounds much better.

  • Man I loved the clean tones, really warm. With the volume maxed the tone brightens pleasingly and not harsh with great overdrive. Love the pedal sounds with the amp. Makes me want to buy this one and run it my 5 watt amp in stereo, which as gain treble, middle and bass controls. Love the volume only setup of this amp. Love the 6by tubes in a 5 watt amp. Great playing.
