  • I decided to buy the Roland DP-10 to pair with my Roland FP-10. It's 45€ vs 18€ at Thomann, so sure, you save some money going with the SP-2, but either of them is likely to last a long time, therefore I'd rather just buy the full functionality now than have a brick in 2 years if I decide I'd like to try half-paddling afterall, especially as I'm mostly interested in classical piano. It's a worthwhile investment in my opinion, having played for a few months now.

  • Hey I have a question. My sustain jack is bigger than the thing you plug in. mine has like 6,3mm if im correct and i cant find any good pedal with a jack that is the same size

  • If its connected to the midi, does it record the notes as sustained in to the daw to be saved in he projects to we can back it up

  • I have a question ,. I have Yamaha NP12. Pedal works OK with both polarity settings. Should I set any specific one? I heared Yamaha's default is closed

  • I bought a Chinese cheap pedal, works same way, quite cheap, but I am wondering if we can manually change its settings (like reducing the value or something) to reduce the pushing distance a bit, it would be more comfortable.

  • plz reply i am thinking of buying but confused coz some videos says Expression pedal can give the effect of half damping like the real piano sus pedal. And these electronic sus pedals are only on off, nothing in between. So i m afraid if i buy this then i may regret not choosing the expression pedal. I need to know the diff btw them and if the Expression pedal recreates the real piano pedal better then no point in buying these on off sus pedals. One pianist also mentioned "Expression pedal" in his tutorial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uN6yXcpL49E Why dont you make a video on this topic?

  • Hey, would you recommend the Casio sp-20 to use with a Casio CTS500? Any better quality 1 pedal alternative today? Thank you!

  • Thanks for the review. I just purchased the M-audio SP-2 and the difference between the "square" one and the M-audio SP-2 is night and day! The square one I had (that came with my FP-30X) was really awful and literally stuck to my feet sometimes when I hit the pedal. The M-audio SP-2 one is really good!

  • is this pedal still working fine? It's been a while since this review was made. Hasn't it started to squeak?

  • Well structured video! Is the M-audio MP2 only on or off or is it expressive as well? 0 to 127 "midi value"?

  • I got my M-Audio SP-2 for 15€ today and it's really good for this price and never moves around on my wood floor 🙂

  • I have seen the M-Audio SP-2 in the internet and read somewhere that it supports half pedaling. So what is true now?
I also cant figure out if my keyboard (Alesis 49) supports half pedalling.
Its strange because i cant find this out on any midi keyboard. How should i search for it?

  • I have the M Audio pedal. I find the clicky sound a bit annoying but otherwise it is sturdy.
