  • Hello.
Would you help me identify the pedal? It's a DOFX40B but I don't know the approximate year of manufacture. Thank you

  • I have recently got one in the second hand market but I am not sure how to connect it to the power supply. It is power supplied like the normal pedals? Thanks

  • Presets are overrated. I mean, the ability to save presets is overrated.I guess with a graphic EQ, if you are set on a specific sound, I understand why you might want presets. For me though presets are a creativity killer. I use effects as a creativity booster. I love my modular synthesizers because of that. You can never get the exact sound twice. That being said, if you must save presets, there's a way to do it with this pedal. A friend first did it for a graphic EQ on an old Peavey amp. The sliders were big so he used popsicle sticks. He found his setting and then measured from the bottom lip of the head shell to where each slider was set to his liking. Then he cut back stick, glued them together and put a piece of velcro across the back of the sticks and another on the amp. He had a few sets of these sticks for different settings that made the amp sound pretty good. This was an early 80s Peavey, so he needed all the help he could get to make it sound right. It was lo-tek at its finest, and pretty funny, but it worked.. I'm sure anyone could rig something like that for a pedal.
Thanks for the video. I like the looks of this pedal, and I imagine it sounds better than the Boss GE-7. A friend just offered to sell me one of these. I think I'll go for it. How is it as a boost?

  • How is the noise level with this pedal? I didn't notice anything in the video, but wasn't sure if you had a chance to work with it more (or with drive).
