In short,
Neck pickup, Strat is far superior
Middle and Bridge pickup, Tele is far superior.
Strat comes with combo Middle with bridge/neck

Well, it’s obvious. Eric Clapton, the best guitarist in the world, plays a Tele. So that’s what I bought. 6 of ‘em!!!

The strat neck sound is how I hear guitar in my mind
the underrated 3rd option of thinline tele – sounds like a tele but a little less harsh, and is a lot lighter to carry
You should had taken the same amplifiers for the guitars.
Too much talking in between each one. Hard to remember how the first one sounded by the time you get to the second one.
I’ve always loved both. However I always want to like the Tele more because it does sound and look better IMO, but then I usually feel like the Strat sounds better in the mix than a Tele.
That was literally my experience again with this video. During the rundowns I was way preferring the sound of the Tele, until the final jam where the Strat just sounds better in the mix ????????♂️.
I have two Strats, an American 2005 SSS in Chrome Blue, modded with locking tuners (on which I usually pick switch position 2), and a 2025 HSS Player II Modified in Electric Blue, a 2008 ,SS American Telecaster in 3-colour sunburst, a Gibson Les Paul Studio in white, and an Ovation Celebrity Elite in Ruby Red. I like the pickup versatility of my latest Strat (unlike my 2005, I can have a humbucker or a single coil ,in bridge position) and the Floyd Rose trem. It took a lot of fiddling and string stretching to get it properly in tune, but it's pretty stable now. I'm also quite pleased with the Noiseless single-coils, something not available on my American Strat..
My Fender Strat has two pickups next to each other at the bridge. They are at 90 degs to the neck. So straight not slanted. Is that a Humbucker that emulates the tele pickup?

I started on Strat and moved to Tele, I don't own a Strat now, but I am seriously thinking of getting a squier Strat.❤????????.

The Tele is generally sharper/harsher in sound and action – punchier. The Strat is going to be a rounder, heavier mid, but somehow still shimmery tone. That's basically the difference.
Telecaster. One guitar to rule them all.

I have doing this brutal debate my head for 20 year now. The correct answer is both. And you all need multiples of both..for good measure.
