Good lesson but I think the solo to Detroit Rock City is way easier, almost not even a solo.
Playing is one thing, but creating/writing/crafting a solo is where the genius comes in.

I haven’t played guitar in 18 years
Detroit Rock City has an easier solo than this. I already know how to play guitar at an advanced level, but a beginner guitarist out there is not gonna know how to do this one. I just know it.
Interesting fact: Ace didn't really write this solo. he took it from a song called "we Ain't Got Nothing yet" by the Blue Magoos. The solo kicks in at 0:53 on this clip. You'll also see where Deep Purple took their riff for "Black Night" from.

The easiest Kiss solo has to be on I Love it Loud. Paul Stanley played it and he's not a lead player.

The solo from Shout It Out Loud is a lot easier than this, I think.
Easiest Kiss solo is ‘I Love it Loud’ it is 7 unison bends

Clearly, the easiest KISS original member solo is Detroit Rock City, although not itself an Ace-written composition. Which would be why it has a more melodic structure, and doesn't contain unison string bends, double-stops, stop-and-go phrasing, or other Ace trademark licks. But I love it anyway.
