  • A lot is also how Ross recorded stuff, with old ass consoles and gear. You add to that the tuning and the seven strings

  • We need to talk abt how korn tones are really unique and hard to hit, Even if korn isnt a tecnichal band they have the sauce

  • As my two fav bands and In terms of metal guitar tones koЯn and Deftones are my obsessions for 30 years now notice how every record the tone changes a bit and I LOVE that I hate when folks have the same tone on every f record.

  • I remember hearing KoRn for the first time back in high school & the first song i heard from them was “Blind” which is an awesome song that i still like to crank up to “Spinal Tap #11” lol. I would blast it in my black 1987 t-top 5.0 Ford Mustang & i had this rad “KoRn” sticker on my front windshield which looked awesome!????

  • For me it was Robert Carpenter & Doug Sabolick from A Life Once Lost on “A Great Artist”. That tone is unbelievably filthy throughout the entire album, even in the clean sections it’s incredible.

  • Life is Peachy is my favorite Korn record. It was so fucking heavy it blew my 16 year old mind when it came out

  • For me, the most disgusting tone is Brown Noise from The Acacia Strain. Absolutely fucking fuck the world, smashing the earth with the sun fucking heavy. Filthy shit.

  • I think your being humble. Nothing about suicide silence sounded like shit sir ????

I find you guys having most distinct tones from bands. And one of the reasons why everyone remembers other than badass members and the mitch and eddy on vocals

Deathcore I felt you paved the majority of that style. Trashy Grungy. Deathcore but it was so much heavier than that.

Ingested is a little extreme n dark for me but I loved their tone too. Especially divine right of kinds album.

The only other 5 bands I can think of to actually be ironically remembered in a special way. That's Metallica, Pantera, sevenfold, suicide silence, Korn, slip knot

Not taking away from others just my list.

What i have always respected about the band. It wasn't disgusting. But positive influence with little bit of everything for everyone. None biased.
