  • I have had Helix, Headrush Prime, Fender Tonemaster Pro, and had to sell it due to moving overseas. Here is what my experience has been:
I never really used much more than 5-10 tones so i literally am like most Microsoft Office users, using less than 10 percent of what the device is capable of. From a sound perspective, i cannot tell much difference. they all sound amazing to me. I do not gig, play in a band. I only picked up guitar because i wanted to express some sounds/music in my head. having settled in i wanted to get some gear to get playing again. Having watched all the videos on the Valeton GP200 and loving Andertons and especially after they did colab with Dagan i ordered the Valeton and the FRFR cab from Andertons. I play a Kiesel Vader through this and i absolutely love it. The design and interface is great. The design of the switches with the higher ones being slightly taller is just genius. Tone wise i honestly cannot tell you that it is any better or worse, which to its credit means it punches way above its weight class. For the price and the featuers, in my opion nothing beats it now that i have had a chance to play it. Thanks to Andertons for everything you do for music lovers

  • Lee… you’ve really developed a lovely feel in your playing, you could easily make a listenable album worth buying. Nice change from widdlers.

  • I think they could fit world time and gold prices into that huge screen. There's still a lot of non-utilized space…

  • Questions: Got a GP-200LT, but the setup is pretty daunting. All I need is a few clean tones with variations for my different guitars and amp setups.

Basically, rhythm and lead for each variation, each pair banked together to pedal forward then pedal back, and that's it.

    Questions:

    1. Where in the bank structure can I store the factory patches in case I want to use or mod them?

    2. How best to organize the patches I use for gigging?

Thanks for taking the time to create this helpful information.

  • I have a question,,,after recorded looping,,I change to different sound or patches… the looping change the sound with that sound too,,,how can I keep the looping the same without changing

  • Captain, can you do a video tutorial to show how you make the amp modeler sound less fizzy and "digital"? I am not getting a satisfactory sound from my studio monitors. Do you use global eq settings, the eq block per preset, or eq during post of the video? The guitar sounds and tones from your videos are always quite good.

  • It's a great unit. ❤ People often say "good for the price", but it's just plain old good compared to units which are much, much more expensive. In addition, being able to use .nam files with it now is very useful.

Pay more for a "big name" multi fx if you find it reassuring to do so, but you don't need to.

  • I can see why now. I got the GP-5 finally the other day and it blew me away!! So I went and got a GP-200JR. I've already tried out the Ampero 2, Headrush Flex, All the Sonicakes which WAS my favorite until I heard the Valeton, HX Effects, Boss GT1000CORE (Still have but selling). And these are all great products but to my ears and for high gain the Valeton just did it for me. I only had the Sonicake for a backup and have been using NAM file loading pedals (Dimehead, Sonulab, etc.) but after loading NAMs into the GP-200 It sounded as good if not better than my other NAM loading pedals. I'm utterly impressed to say the least! ????

  • Hey I love your videos but was wondering,

When your looping with a drum set, and can’t to change presets, do you have to use knob or can you use up and down preset buttons

I have mg-30, and I find it a nightmare change ng patches as you either have to get out of looper or use extension pedal with scene option

  • I don't ever use the front panel unless it's a small level change.
I program with headphones using the Mac app end then play live while midi switches my patches to the appropriate tone for the song being played. We still use Voyetra.????

  • Not ONCE does he use his guitar's volume knob other than to turn dime or mute it completely. No one does when presenting those units. No someone tell me if this is a coincidence or if the GP-200 also sounds like poo when doing so.

  • Is that 200x better than 200, except for the color and artist preset? Is everything else the same? Just as much amps and effects?

  • I’ve been a Helix user since 2017 but I think I’m going to pick one up simply for the size and convenience. Leave the Helix in my studio and take this little guy to jams and rehearsals. Sounds great.
