Nice review. I got a Rey Spruce model and it came from the factory very well setup. I got this guitar mainly for camping since there is no way in hell I'm taking my Taylor 814ce camping. It sounds "decent" for the price. To me it sounds a little dull compared to the Taylor but you get what you pay for. It is a well make instrument and I'd recommend it for someone starting out.
Amazing sound —plz suggest orange wood or Yamaha or fender ??
Have one and I agree with Chris. For $135, this really is a bargain, and comparable to the Yamaha FG800 that sells for $95 more. Great entry level, beginner guitar.
I refunded a Jasmine s35 and ordered a Rey cutaway on Amazon…the difference in the two guitars is astounding… I would highly recommend for a first guitar or a fifth guitar if you want a beater for the beach and stuff
Is that a full sized guitar? And is it a low a action or at least a not too high that it hurts? I know I’m pretty late????
Spent a while trying ALL the acoustics under $500 ,,, I found the Fender as my fav. $275 bone nut/saddle, and vibrates for a long time…. To each is own,,
Dude, this review style is feckin' hilarious, thank you for the great review and the laughs.
I swear when you switched to your "voice-over" voice, I was totally waiting for a Honey Badger to snatch that guitar. Nice review!
The review also really good thanky you !
Quick question what was the first song that you played in this video at 1:30 ?
This looks like a really great guitar for that price pretty surprising
Ammoon Jazz bass $88
Love the review you got a new friend here subscribed
please do a video with the pickup installed
Great playing
The $275 mahogany live has a solid top
I play a Guild D240E and at about $350 new, it is plenty if you can play and sing. At $135 a plain REY w. spruce top delivered with padded case may be a better deal, but a used soundhole pickup is likely the fast and simple upgrade. I'll know in a week if the REY is decent… To humidify and set it up will help a lot and nearly no one just puts 1/2 a damp sponge in the case. VERY cheap and when it gets dry… dampen it. That's all.
I have an Orangewood Rey Mahogany and it's the guitar I play the most at home, love it and can't beat it for the price.
Thank you for the review. I'm looking for a budget guitar to learn to play. my son who is autistic and loves to hear string music this may be the perfect one to start out with.
