Nux Plexi Crunch Review Reissue Pedal

Nux Plexi Crunch Review. In this video, I review the brand new NuX Plexi Crunch Pedal from the Reissue Series. This is a High Gain pedal that emulates the sought after Marshall Plexi amp. In order to offer an objective review, I used a Hotone Britwind amp which includes a VOX AC Amp and Marshall Plexi. This is a really great sounding pedal, especially with a little reverb and tweaking the guitar volume. Enjoy!

  • The Nux Plexi Crunch Pedal sounds very nice.I would like to buy one provided the purchase terms are IBAN to IBAN because I do not have other means of transfering money.

  • I think this is the most honest review of a pedal I’ve ever seen on YouTube. Love your channel, man. Excellent demo as always, no BS, just helpful information.

  • I'm messing with this pedal, I am using it first and I added a EQ Pedal after it to give it a boost.

  • The one problem with these pre amp boxes is using delay or reverb. You can’t place them anywhere except right before the amp and it can really ruin your ambiance tone.

  • I have one of these and I swear my favorite way to use it is the tone knob dialed all the way back. It cuts the mids and it's a pretty usable metal tone.

  • One thing no one talks about is the supposedly “3 gain stages” how do you switch between them? Is the switch inside the pedal?

  • So, from the way you've demoed it, you made it seem like the Master is, like on the real amp, inducing "power tube" saturation. Am I misunderstanding this correctly? If I'm understanding it correctly, how do you control the overall output of the pedal? I mean if you want both preamp and power tube saturation, won't the output be too hot and wouldn't you risk clipping the A/D converter of some modelers?

  • Enough of all the nay Sayers. I have one question, I just bought this today and I need to know how the amp settings should be. I have the Peavey 7:41 7:41 Classic 30. I play Epi Les Paul Special. I really don't understand how the amp and petal work together. I don't like much distortion, I like that crunchy but clean bluesy sound. Just not sure where to begin

  • A Marshal Plexi is not a high gain amp so maybe "Plexi + high gain" is a better description?

  • Been playing metal and hard rock since '79.my basic rig was always a proco rat boosted with a tubescreamer, vox wah and MXR eq running through a fender 100 watt solid state on clean channel.nithing beats the RAT pedal!!I don't play live anymore and picked up the NUX and was surprised at how good it is on a fender champ 20 watt solid state bedroom practice amp for $49 you can't go wrong..hell the last 40years we have all wasted much more on shit pedals ….great video bro!!

  • I was really disappointed with this pedal. I mean it had a good slightly splatty tube-like sound, but like a lot of cheaper amps and overdrive pedals, it was voiced badly in the high frequencies. I found it had too much of an aggressive high-frequency roll-off I had to use an eq pedal after it to bring back in the 6k. IMO a boss blues driver sounds a lot better but for $50 I can't complain too much I guess. to be fair if you prefer a darker sound and don't like a lot of 6-7k slice in your sound you might love this pedal.

  • This dude has one of the crappiest tones I've ever heard. Nothing but fuzz and mud… on an out of tune guitar no less. ????

  • I ordered one of these yesterday afternoon. The mid scoop in the tone circuit is largely how come this pedal will likely be a huge step forward in my quest to approximate the Boston guitar tone – without needing a Rockman unit of any kind

  • I never played Plexi, that has THAT much gain. What they are baseing these pedals on? On plexi with heavy OD in front of them?

  • On topic, yet off topic. If I got a wireless NUX mighty air, how would I run foot pedals if I'm wireless?

  • The "Plexi Crunch" may be a re-issue of the old HG-6 High Gain Distortion (which was also release fairly recently as the Twinote Pi-Fuzz).

Hope this doesn't hurt sales, TPG.
