  • I wish they would find the 1st films guitar, supposedly it is owned by a Japanese Collector, maybe thru Norm's Sales Records, Norm loaned that guitar to the Movie makers. Great video. The guitar is for players/fans of the movie for sure.

  • I still have my '90s $600 white Sheraton II that looks similar although my gold hardware is all worn off and mine didn't have a Bigsby. By the time, I found out about this release, It was already sold out and I refuse to pay secondary market rates. This guitar was important to me because the movie was filmed at my hometown mall when I was in high school and very exited to see the mall I spent so much time hanging out at on the big screen. I'm going to wait and see if they release more units. I'd like one just to hang on my wall with the rest of my collection.

  • I think Gibson have quite a bleak future . Being able to forward as well as back in business is essential if you want to survive . As my son says boomers guitar I’m not interested. The reality is they just don’t seem appealing to most young players . What happens when all us older dudes are no longer buying ?

  • 3k ! ha….that's ridiculous. I paid 2,800$ back in 1990 for my Gibson ES335 dot vintage Tobacco burst (Nashville)
    …and that was in-store, new

  • Buying an Epiphone that you can never upgrade in any way, isn't on my wish list. Because I have luthier skills, I would just buy a used Gibson, and a Bigsby, and even if I have to refinish it, the value will still be there as long as I do a good job. My guitar might not appeal to the collector, but players would gobble that up, over an Epiphone wanna be.

  • 10:38 Booo! Timed exclusives only hurt the consumer I’m sorry that you got manipulated by a corporation but anyone should be able to buy them if they want to.

  • To me it's just another movie I enjoyed in the cinema 40 years ago. Let's be serious now, the Epiphone Shinichi Ubukata ES-355 is a much better specced guitar easily available at a more reasonable lower price..

  • lol its a signature guitar for a group that doesn’t even exist. Feels more like a toy / trophy than anything thats actually note worthy. I also hate Back to the Future as they deeply imply that white people invented rock and roll…

  • Guys like you batching about Gibson and whatever they're selling, who the fuck cares. You need to get a life my friend. You need to take a deep dive in the toilet. Gibson is one of the best companies on the planet. Next thing , you'll be attacking CF Martin guitars. Now if you want to talk about the one bone of contention with Gibson is their ludicrous pricing on their guitars. Hands down, they make one of the finest collection of guitars . But their prices are utterly ridiculous. But unfortunately these guys determine the price of them. I think the prices are a real rip off. I do realize the amount of work that goes into making these instruments. You have to almost be a banker to afford their guitars today. And the Epiphone guitars are really ridiculous on pricing

  • the black F holes being uneven is supposed to represent the "relicing" or wear on the original. While the Gibson and Original are painted red, they have a relic'd worn look as the original was a very used instrument. The Gibson has checking and relic'd hardware too. It's still not the greatest design choice, really makes zero sense…but it's meant to look rough. That is from a dealer presentation that was given before these launched. Nobody cares tho, it's a collector's item really.
