The guitar makes the music. You're just the facilitator.
Brilliant
The shirt and jeans are most impressive.
useful advise❤
Love that! That guitar sounds so happy ❤
Love you Tommy!
Beautiful shirt
Finest guitar player. Give it beans fella ????
Did not make his point clearly as to where
Who would have gussed
Dude that shirt!!
Yes, melodies WITH accompaniments… that’s what separates quality, almost universally enjoyable/listenable ‘music’ from the stuff people learn just to say ‘i can play’ or to try to be fast and show off. Shifted from the latter to the former and it was very humbling, but rewarding and have never looked back since
Good job Tommy.. ????????
God bless???? ????
That steel string sounds like rattling tin cans though.
What a master Tommy is????
It's not a mistake if that is the tone you want.
God bless this beautiful man. And keep.him..
See Marcin for real guitar playing.
What is he playing tho? The title of the song?????
Rattle, rattle. Amazing guitarist but always plays too hard especially with action that low. Overly heavy touch. Love the dynamics someone like Julian Lage can get by varying his attack, wish Tommy would lighten up his right hand
What is the model and brand of your guitar it sounds awesome ????????????????????????
That sounded exceptional.
Tommy’s really skilled of course … strong disagree with blanket statements like the one he made. You don’t like that sound. That doesn’t mean it can’t be a good sound in the right context.
every time tommy comes to my town I go learn stuff. I have almost 30 years music experience and I still learn stuff every DAY!
Johnny Cash played like that
A true master of the instrument ????????????????
Got it, I need a more expensive guitar!
Weird that he says this. Even I, as a very ordinary player know that moving closer to the neck gives a warmer deeper tone and moving closer to the bridge gives a brighter crisper tone.
Just ditch the tinny steel string and plectrum, grow some nails, get a proper guitar, learn how classical and flamenco players create sound, and you'll hear the difference
Just the way i always liked to be able to play songs, i used to call it chord-melody …
// guitar & music playing even listening was forbidden in Iran 30 years ago …!!! So stupid evil government forced us youths lovers of music ???? & ???? to hidden underground activities!!!
Ok. my story of how face to technical challenges of learning guitar while simultaneously fight with fanatics dark ages minded people/ or should say venomous reptiles instead of humans!
Some hours later i come back to continue writing ….<to be continued>
Tommy is good… that shirt is amazing
Tommy is an amazing player –– better than I can ever hope to be –– but whenever I hear him play unplugged he seems to have a sheen of buzzy 'sibilance' that isn't to my personal taste. I think he's mastered the 'plugged in acoustic' thing tonally, though, as it's very hard to be as loud as he gets live and still have the clarity whilst keeping it sounding more or less like an acoustic guitar.
Here’s a tip for better acoustic guitar: be extremely talented and have innate musical sensibilities
Hands???? Only?????Not pedals? Amps? Vintage guitarrs ir any other Very expensive gear 0r gadget? This man is insano is he an alien???
He is so so so boring
Yuck sounds shithouse
Honestly every great guitarist plays closer to the bridge and I get it. But everyone I play and I try it, I always prefer the sound closer to the neck I dunno why
Legend!!!!!
Alex Lifeson turned me on to Tommy Emmanuel
Parece a música do filme Premonição
Hands and guitar is all I need then I guess.
tone is in the hands
oh shit he said it
Never seen anyone play there guitar "up here"
That's why i detune and CAPO up!!(So i wont be hangin around those 1st 3 frets!)????
Lightning Hopkins played up the whole damn fretboard, not everyone fits the same mold.
He's good but he's no Corey Feldman
????❤
