Guitar of the Day! Taking a quick look at the Strandberg Boden Essential. This is my first time trying a Strandberg, they are very weird. They are so different to anything else out there, and are generally very expensive. The Boden Essential is about half the price of a normal Boden, and is a masterclass on how to create an affordable gateway drug guitar.

Mmm those fugly guitars failed designs are from the 80’s hair metal post punk shredding era ala steinberber, factor or honner, but this new ones are more extreme, look like amputated pieces of school table, I mean…even the warwick buzzard was a weird design bass played by a boomer legend the Ox and is not even close to this…

ooh, i have one of these. the neck is invisible, you won't even notice it unless you have really bad hand posture. it trained me out of wedging my thumb against the neck during barre chords in less than a day, and immediately became my main guitar. most playable whip i ever laid hands on. it made me a way faster and more accurate player almost overnight.
F*** this brand I lost all respect for them when I saw they were selling guitars upwards of $3,000 without a hard shell case???? they got multiple guitars on their website selling for over $6,000 that come with a gig bag???? that's a f**** disgrace

I played one of these at my local guitar center and I had the same thought picking it up but I played it and it was one of the most comfortable things I’ve ever played just contours to your body so Wel and the trapezoidal neck is actually super comfortable to hold and play on
Blessed to own a couple Bodens from before the pandemic, they were made better then I’ve heard QC isnt great as it used to be

Tried one for a few days, the neck sucked
Endurnecks are perfect, I wish I could have that profile on all my guitars. I'm not even a shredder or anything, but it makes the entire neck just feel "closer" and more comfortable.
Whatever it's way overpriced, hex n600 is way better option in this segment. And it's cheaper and comes with fishman fluence active pickups with stainless steel frets. Unlike strandberg or ibanaze headless guitar which are over priced

I had a long chat with Arisan of icontinew last year in Shibuya, and she's a huge advocate of these guitars (she has two, a 6 and a 7). Light, ergonomic, and they sound great.
