  • Die Yamaha ist eine gute Anfänger Gitarre. Aber jeder Gitarist wird hören, das die Taylor einen viel schöneren, vollen Klang besitzt.Wahrscheinlich wird sie sich auch besser bespielen lassen.

  • What people who don't play wouldn't even understand is that there's a big difference in between how they feel amongst other things

  • I'm surprised they both sound exactly like everything else does out of my cellphone speaker. I thought for sure that a video of a $1000 guitar would magically sound better.

  • The Yamaha has heavier bracing. That's great for longevity, but doesn't allow the top to sing as much as it can. I mean… vibrate as much. The top of a guitar is basically the speaker. You tune that speaker by it's bracing. Also the back. If you have a nice thin scalloped bracing, then you will get a lot more vibration from the guitar itself. It will be a louder. Especially with a pick. It will project more of that volume through the sound hole. You also need to match the gauge of strings to the guitar. Some 10 Elixirs will give you some high end volume and less bass, however, it depends on the the thickness and the bracing. You have to experiment to get the best sound out of an acoustic.
I just bought a $300 Orangewood acoustic. I reset the neck bow using the truss rod, put some 10's on it and tuned it a half step down. This guitar sings now. Out of the box is was somewhat muted. It came with Ernie Ball 12's.
They should NEVER put 12's on a guitar like this. Anyway, I'm happy, the guitar is happy as well. You hear me Orangewood!!!!?????!?!?!?!??!!???

  • Both sound good. Taylor is better, but the sound you want really depends on what your playing. The Yamaha probably sounds better for different songs. A great guitar can make a song sound terrible if it's the wrong instrument for the song.

  • What this video can’t demonstrate is how theTaylor projects sound to fill a room while the Yamaha will not do the same. I know this from personal experience.

  • Sound quality can be picked up by professional musicians’ ears while all of us will just enjoy learning how to make noise on a guitar.

  • It's a bit naughty to have this video as a non blind test and show which guitar is which before the end. Would be interesting to see how the comments would have differed that had been the case for this video.

  • Only matters when playing acoustic. Can fix sound via mixer and post editing. $200 or less for me please.

  • This guy could make a pole and a rope sound good. The Taylor is more full and resonate but the Yamaha would be at a great price point for a beginner or intermediate player so they have their place. Ever tried a Zager guitar? They're built in Lincoln Nebraska. I would put their ZAD80 against that Taylor for comparison.

  • Microphone used for this video matters, we may not judge the same as we hear with our own ears.

  • Guys, something about instruments, the Taylor is not supposed to sounds 5x better the 200 guitar, if u a beginner and can’t even hear the difference just buy the cheapest one, nothing wrong with that, paying more than 400 on a instrument on my opinion if u don’t know how to play is stupidity…
