Taylor Product Specialist Marc Seal sat down to demonstrate the difference between two of the most popular Taylor Guitars acoustic body shapes: the Grand Auditorium and the Grand Concert. • Grand concert is my favorite body size for my Taylors. As a woman, I find that size comfortable for extended periods of playing. I started on an academy. Got a grand auditorium 400 series and it didn’t feel as comfortable for me. I just picked up a 812ce. So I can have the comforts for the academy (arm rest and smaller body) with the extras of a higher level guitar.

  • 01:13 This is what I picture the most frequent/best use for a Grand Auditorium is (Almost like a steel version of a classic nylon),
My Dream Collection: Martin D18, Guild JF55, Taylor 814ce

  • Like comparing different, but similar cars – nothing too apparent until you make a mistake and buy it. Switching to 0:40 and 2:03 – they see it, one of them is quite bigger.

  • I’m so reluctant to say this publicly, but for the sake of beginners or hobbyists who may be thinking it, I just do not think these guitars sound that good. It may be the action is set too low — they both sounded too buzzy. (Guitars do NOT have to sound that buzzy.) And in general a bit too trebly for both. Don’t get me wrong, I WANT to like Taylor. It’s a good name. Nothing to be ashamed of. And yes I endorse Gibson and Epiphone as an artist. But they let me play whatever brands i want. I also love and have other brands like Martin Hofner Framus Eko Guild (I really like old European acoustics). Just have not heard a Taylor that blows me away. Still waiting… Anyone else find these too on the high end? Not warm enough?

  • John 14:6 KJV, "Jesus saith, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

1 Peter 2:24 NIV, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."

John 3:16 KJV, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".

Romans 3:23-24 NIV, "…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus".

John 8:12 KJV, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".

Jesus is the only WAY to God, the TRUTH of salvation, and the Breath/Bread of LIFE.

ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Sins separate us from God because He's Holy. All sins will be forgiven and erased through faith in Christ Jesus. God ♥ you, is alive, merciful, faithful, truthful, and is waiting with His arms wide open FOR YOU! For Jesus did not come to establish a religion, but to become a mediator between God and men.

Through the Grace of God, Jesus was given to us by paying the price at the Cross at Calvary. Repent and confess from your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you. A sinner cannot save a sinner, only a sinless person can. That sinless Being is Jesus Christ Himself.

Through the faith in Christ Jesus, the sick was healed; everywhere He went, He healed the blind, the mute, the deaf, the demon-possessed, raised the dead, as well as performed many miracles; He also walked on water, turned water into wine, calmed the storm with His command, and was raised up from the dead. Miracles are still being seen today! Jesus is our helper, our healer, our refuge/protection, and our strength for when time gets tough.

God is standing and knocking at the door waiting for your answer right now because THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS COMING.

  • I love how you kept a straight face when you said a £3500 guitar was great for just playing on the couch. I guess that was aimed at a very specific market!

  • Stupid question but if a guitar has those expression dial things on the body, does that mean its an electro acoustic? I'm looking at getting a Taylor and its got these dials but it doesnt say anywhere that it's an electro acoustic

  • Grand Concert sounds more mellow and accurate…like classical guitars. I think its a beautiful choice for a jazz playing and lead solos… Grand Auditorium is its big brother with a bigger base.

  • They are my favorite bodies . I find dreadnoughts and jumbos to be to big and bulky. The 12 fret Grand concert is the most comfortable guitar to play. The Grand auditorium has more power and volume. I love my 324 but a Grand concert is in my future.
