I don't play much acoustic but the boss RV6 and the strymon blue sky would be my option..but this board does sound killer.
an acoustic as a pad! that says it all! an acoustic should be an acoustic,..CCM is all reverb wet with no definition…..
I get a lot of compliments on my acoustic tone (after being anti pedals for acoustics). My acoustic board is Polytune > LR Baggs Session > LR Baggs EQ > HOF Reverb > Radial D.I (Martin Streetmaster w/ K&K Pure Mini). This is the best sound I've ever gotten from an acoustic direct in.
After I invested a bunch of bucks in a Lakewood Guitar two years ago the first thing I did, wad getting rid of all the paddles. The only things I'm using is the build in microphone and the bridge pick-up.
I just run my McPherson through is a Strymon Cloudburst, and that one effect pedal gives me all the ambience I need when I need it…and sounds fantastic, too!
The secret sauce to make the LR baggs Anthem sound more lively and warm is to run a LR Baggs Venue or LR Baggs Para DI. Its kind of a mandatory part in my opinion. They are so so good. I think the Grace Design Alix is even better, but the price's on those are hard to swallow.
Thank you for this video????❤️
Man, all that gear for a scratchy bright sound washing in effects. No thanks.
Ryan is my Sweetwater rep! dope guy!
Ryan is my sweetwater engineer! Love him
I have watched this video three times now because this incredibly awful acoustic tone is living in my head rent-free. I can't believe how a Taylor this nice (and expensive) sounds so bad. Please try a different pickup system, or at least add an IR. Guitars can and should sound much better than this while plugged in. It should sound like an acoustic guitar before any effects are added. This is quacky and thin. It's also misleading to only be using the LR Baggs Venue during half of this demonstration. Why did you skip the preamp for the first half of the video?
I play my AG through my helix magic
Fractal fm3 for acoustic and electric. Tube pre, eq, great sounding compression, and amazing wet effects. No DI or extra cables needed.
Ryan! ????
Do you have the compression before or after the LR Baggs?
The only thing missing was a decent guitar
Thanks for this. I love content like this that help to know a lot more about using pedals with acoustic guitar for worship.
I use a Martin D35 and a Martin 00015 M – recently started to use a TC Electronic Nova delay and a Big Sky for reverb. Sounds great, but ‘less is more’…. ????
Best way to make this guitar sound better: Get a better sounding guitar.
for me, the takeaway from this video is that for pedals with an acoustic guitar – less is more. too many pedals (at one time) and you lose the sound of the acoustic guitar and might as well be playing an electric guitar.
Ryan Haines! Great dude!
Quacky pickup. Would sound amazing with a mic blend
For a moment I thought that was Israel Houghton????
I'm really impressed with my Acoustic Fly Rig… simple but robust, good delay or reverb, tuner, boost, and compresses like crazy although I don't use that much our mixer board has some compression…
This video is very reassuring — my current pedalboard is: PolyTune mini –> 1176 –> HX Stomp XL –> El Capistan –> BigSkyMX –> Canvas DI. I can strongly recommend every product in this video ???? (The HX Stomp handles Acoustic IRs, preamp and EQs and acts as a midi controller as well) HX Stomp is a fantastic and underrated way to run acoustic!
Fishman ellipse matrix isnt too bad since its a mic blend but i tend to just mic the acoustic if recording then either use a few universal audio plugins like a comp , api , delay and capitol chambers or route the signal back out to some pedals. Only cause i never really got into the piezo pickup sound.
Not bad but I get better lush pads and tones out of my acoustic and iPad. I have thought about the HX Stomp for a little more backup hardware. If my iPad goes out I am pretty much toast.
Get a better pickup, a comp, ir, maybe a reverb and a solid di. All you need. The stomp itself would accomplish all of that. Better pickup with an IR will get all the beuatiful tone you need
Cloud reverb delay and some tremolo
Step one: get guitar. Step two: plugin in guitar. Step three: play guitar. Step four: no one hears the difference because they are just focused on worshipping God. I just saved you ten thousand dollars. You’re welcome
Meh ????
Tonex One with a good acoustic IR and presets with some comp/delay/reverb is about all you need
Sounds awful to me. Maybe it has to do with the way piezo pick-ups sound
No más te falta cargarle impulsos de respuesta de guitarra acústica a la pedalera, con eso ya estás hecho, de lo contrario vas a sonar a plástico con el Piezo eléctrico de la guitarra.
Loved this video. Currently using the HX Stomp to run some acoustic IRs with some compression and dynamic room reverb.
