Yamaha F310 VS Fender CD60 V3 – Sound Comparison- NO TALKING!!
We decided to answer the frequently asked question with a video. Here we do a Sound comparison between the very popular Yamaha F310 and the newly launched Fender CD60 V3. So lets review the sound of both Guitars side by side.

Sound preference is a personal preference and this video is intended to make the choice as per your preference. Both Guitars Sound good for beginner however our verdict is that the Fender sounds a bit more balanced with well rounded lows. The reason is that Fender is using Mahogany wood for back and sides which is known to produce better sound. Fender also has Die cast tuners and that is better than Yamaha tuning keys. Leave in the comment below, which one do you like, and also help the community by answering questions 🙂
The sound is recorded on small diaphragm condenser mics and is not processed or enhanced. The goal is to let you decide on the guitar you like with the help of the sound. Remember, sound will be an individual choice and let your ears decide what it likes (you can close your eyes and decide, so that the brand tag doesn’t influence your decision). At John’s Music, every guitar is setup, inspected and well packed before its dispatched so that the user gets the best experience in the first try itself.

Yamaha has more comfortable neck and that’s important for beginners
They almost sound different
I have owned a 1986 yamaha f310 that is on par with a friends new fender cd60. They are different but neither are good. I got a yamaha f335 on black Friday for 129 bucks. It blows both the fender and the 310 away. The difference is so insane I laugh at myself having struggled on that 310 thinking it was me and not my instrument. I'm still not very good but it was definitely the instrument!
i think fender gets a lot of love but the yamaha is better in my opinion. the fender is warmer but it’s also more muddy in the low end and the high end sounds muffled. the yamaha is darker but it’s far more clear and articulate. a change of strings would make the yamaha sound amazing im not so sure if the same is true for the fender
Lejos la fender
is the sticker removable?
I decided to buy fender cd60 after watching this video but when i went to the shopp when i played both guitar then i found Yamaha f310 more better obv both are good guitar but Yamaha f310 is a different thing likeeee i didn't took the second option between these both Yamaha f310 is bestttest go for it????????
Omg the tremonti Intro!!
No doubt yamaha is king of guitars in budget .
Three to get ready, from the start, with a bluesy lick. Wonderful!
I got the Fender CD 60 and it works perfectly for me. I think I'll buy also a Yamaha F310 because I like it too. The difference is between a very open-sounding and brilliant guitar (Yamaha) and a closer-sounding but very well balanced guitar (Fender). The choice depends on personal taste. I prefer the CD 60 for strumming, I hear that the Yamaha F310 is fantastic for fingerpicking, but some other people have an exactly opposite view.
Careful with the Yamahas.
That model is notorious for having shite action.
Fender is better in bass and surround sound I played both yamaha and fender so I know
Fender
Which has lowest action please
F310. Thousand times more confortable to play. Nuff said.
I liked yamaha song.
I was a fender fan until I discovered Yamaha never going back
Sorry fender sounds like a tin box in a hallway
I have both of them. And I can’t tell what’s better. Both are simple, but nice and depends on situation.
Yamaha products tend to always have a thin sound in my experience. I wonder if this is true for all their products?
ALL Lamenated guitars sound like they have a cold, they all suck in my opinion, i have the f310 its ok, easy to play
Fender will always and just a second beside YAMAHA acoustic.
Point the mic at the body next time
Fender ❤
Actually this is the sound in the video. and Fender here sounds better of course.
Personally, I played both in the Guitar shop, Fender' sound is crisp and balanced but low on loudness, resonance, and Full tone. On the other hand, Yamaha is loud, sharp, good resonance, and good Full tone..
SO, I you are specifically into leading then you should go with Fender, and if you want to strum, pluck, lead, then Yamaha is the obvious choice.
Yamaha ❤
Yamaha is best for me ❤

Yamaha ❤
I’d say the c60 has a “darker” deep tone vibe while the f310 has more “Bright” vibe
Haha lol people, it's funny to read you comments which contradict reach other like:
-Fender has warmer sound
-Yamaha is more bassy
-Fender is more bassy
Etc.
Cálido y ligero Fender, profundo y bajo Yamaha.
What is the first music you played, name?
Ямаха – говно????????????????
Fender is the best ❤❤
That stretch though ????
Fender!!!no comments…
Nobody talks about STRINGS! What kind and brand of string on them? How can you make a comparison if they are different brand of string????
I was confused at the beginning but the strumming part convinced me about Fender. Thanks 🙂
Hey!Tell me please yamaha f310,f370 or fender cd 60s?
The Yamaha sound is somewhat more brighter sounding.
You can’t base it on just the video. Go try it out yourselves. There are other factors. The feel, how it vibrates in your body, etc.
it's the yamaha
I like yamaha f370 not these both
