I love the sound he's getting out of the '68 D-28. Great touch.
Brilliant, as always, Nathaniel.
What's not to like about this guy.
Would be nice if you mentioned the prices
Found a B-25 at my shop; instantly knew it was the one. Watching this validated my purchase ha!
Troggs
I watched Justin play a Cort a few months ago
It was my favourite sounding acoustic guitar ever
Until I heard that B25
Whenever I watch Nathaniel play guitar it does three things for me.
1. Smile at his awesome playing
2. Inspire me to practice more
3. Quit guitar altogether
A bit like Adrian left I'd say.
Wow that Gibson B-25
Whatever they’re paying Nathaniel it’s not enough ???? Worth his weight in gold, he is. Nothing he can’t play off the cuff and in keeping with the era of the instrument at hand. Brilliant.
I could listen to Nathaniel for hours ! What a gret guitar player !
The best thing about a B-25 is that they just disappear into a mix. The percussive aspect blends perfectly with the rhythm section and the chord voicing aspect under pins the chord changes. It's the perfect recording guitar. It can be made to sound as big or small as needed. With good mic placement the single string capabilities cut through like buttah. For an all around studio guitar nothing can touch it.
Boy can he play.!
Would prefer a few guitars that are more affordable to the average Joe… and without the big ego trip.
D 28 stunning
Now I know what Cat Stevens used on Tea.
When he said he doesn’t know any songs from the 1920s when playing the 1926 martin000 well maybe you don’t know them as a 1920s song many blues standards go back that far. And yes you probably know most of them. But up I know them played by more modern artist as no one recorded those early performances. Even Robert Johnson which we know As 1930s songs as he was first recorded just before he died in 1938 but that does not mean the songs were not played before that. And heck that guitar was only a young ten years old then so any acoustic blues standard would be fine on that guitar so big bill broozy was not a bad choice. As he started playing in the 1920s
Was that guy Nick on valium ?
At 19:00 it is amazing
