Great video. Amazing collection of guitars. And some beautiful playing by Tom ???? I love my J43. The aging is perfect. And it’s got a beautiful and unique piece of santos rosewood with spots of very bright grain as a fretboard. Absolutely beautiful ???? Sounds fantastic, too. Bought it from the Fellowship of Acoustics.
is it possible to make a intership at your lovely guitar company?
I want a L-36
This was a great video lads really,,, As a guitar builder myself Im not a fan of the aged look… however some of the ones you have show cased here sound fantastic your guitars really do sound the dogs, I might get converted yet if they are just that good. and I do love the bat phone..lol
Super format, hope to see more like this. And great refurb of the studio???? when will we know more about the new model??!
Given that you look like John Krasinski, you could have married Emily Blunt. I'm glad you chose to build guitars for us nerds instead!
I have one of your 000-37 with the standard aged finish. I like the look and it definitely adds to a more open tone. I purchased mine from The Acoustic Shoppe & have been really happy with it.
Great to see you guys back again. Love your videos
Love the Monkey Shit Brown. When I get to order my Atkins, I'm going for a painted top in Pantone 448C – voted the ugliest colour and used on cigarette packaging to deter people. It would still be absolutely beautiful somehow!
Don't worry about the length. Nice to see what's coming out of the shop and great chemistry between both of you. Keep going!
I love these guitar reveals and this is one of my favorite channels. Also, I love my two Atkin guitars. Please keep the content coming.
Outstanding video, Alister!! My favourites were the maple 000-37 deluxe and the 14-fret 00-37 at the end. Cheers, Trevor
The longer format iworks !!
Absolutely loving the long form weekly roundup. My wallet isn’t though. Any Pre-war style OMs on the horizon? Tried a used one the other week and it got bought before I could go back…
Where is the first guitar going?
Another great video if only I could afford one, quick question, do we need to be concerned in the uk with humidity control compared to other countries. Thank you
Lovely batch of guitars ????. Like the long format too, much better than the short videos. We need to work on our diminishing concentration levels, what better way to do it than an emersive guitar video!
A weekly round up of your favourites would be great to see, thanks! I don’t currently understand your range, like pre war, slope shoulder, LGs vs Ds vs Os….could you do a short vid giving a 10,000 ft view of the range and how they are different (other than the obvious shape differences)!
Love the aging on that first guitar…it looks like my 58 year old acoustic….well done guys !!! BTW I could watch guitar videos all day long so keep your videos as long possible 🙂
Love all the variety that Atkin offers and love the shoutout to Fretted Buffalo; great guys and great shop!
love the sharp headstock .. .
The sharp headstock doesn’t bother me. I don’t mind if it echoes other brands. For me, there are enough additional distinguishing features that make Atkinson guitars stand out; aesthetic or otherwise. You are making a very important contribution to UK guitar building IMO. Please keep up the fantastic work! ????
American bluegrass guy here. No need to learn bluegrass. Grab a 1.3 to 1.5 pick and hit that thing like you mean it near the bottom of the sound hole. Give it a boom chuck. Take it to the point right before it buzzes. Then play it pretty after that. Alister actually demos bluegrass tone better.
Did you guys make a guitar for Sting with painted flowers on the top?
The longer format works fine, I can easily forward it I want to go faster
The "SHARP" headstock doesn't fit the Atkin vibe, it looks nice but isn't consistent with the brand identity you are building. The identity Atkin has been creating over recent years is well loved, don't depart from it without very careful consideration – this comment is coming from a HUGE fan.
If the 'MSB' Hawaiian Masters were headed to California as opposed to NY state I suspect one would be earmarked for Jackson Browne. Right up his street. Lovely guitar.
