This might be a good roadmap for learning guitar scales: Learn all 5 shapes of the pentatonic scale and learn how to use the relative major and minor pentatonics within the shape, practice playing octaves of the major pentatonic scale and minor pentatonic scales within each of the shapes Then practice how to play them as blues scales. then expand the pentatonic shapes into diatonic shapes, and use the way of playing the minor and major scales that you learnt with the pentatonic scapes to play the major and relative minor scales using the shapes. also use this way of practice to practice the Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, and Locrian modes by playing octaves starting off different root notes. Then learn harmonic minor then melodic minor and practice the modes within the scale shapes. Combine the Major and Minor scales to get the Hybrid scale used by Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Slash.
guitar has unlocked my brain even more than i thought was possible.
Thank you
Hola, pones el dibujo de las escalas a la izquierda y tu guitarra esta hacia la derecha . Cuesta verlo.

Next time slow down when you’re playing the scales
How do you strike A Minor?
You can’t call a scale with 6 notes a pentatonic scale. Thats like saying “a six sided pentagon”
sir, may I ask what strings are you using?
Amazing
Eddie Haddid is the best maestro and YouTube tutor, always easy to follow and easy to digest lesson learned
????????????????????????????????????????????????????️????
I love this guy
Notice his C MAJOR Penta is really just position #2 of the relative Minor Penta scale which is Aminor Penta. It is the same 5 notes. Root location changes in Major mode but all notes are exactly the same. You could slide down your pinky is on C and play shape one, staring on A, 1-4, 1-3, 1-3, 1-3, -14, 1-4. 1 will be on A and 4 will be on C. Simple.
If it is a major progression, you can always play the relative minor. You cannot however in a minor progression jump up and start playing the relative Major scale. That will usually sound horrible.
Thanks man!! Great content!
Super straight forward but also with some amazing stuff you solo in each one. Inspiration and educational!

Major pentatonic + flat 3 is the major blues scale. Practice mixing the parallel major and minor blues scales in your solos for a classic bluesy sound.
