I bought this unit laster Year (Mid 2024) and at that time, the only way to fully control the NUX amp academy and edit signal chain was to use the PC client or an app only available for iOS, but nux have stepped up and added android app as well so you can easily control the amp academy from your smartphone with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
I really like the flexibility of how many sounds you can store in there to have available when jamming, and The XLR output is ideal for rehearsal without having to use an amp

I just got my NUX Amp Academy… this is better than I could have hoped for.
I don't have a c to c USB cable yet… but it does that stuff I have to abuse a tube amp to do otherwise,
( the almost everything cranked vintage low gain amp boosted to the verge of blowing up punk sound ) .. This Does It !!!

Can you connect simultaneously, DI to the console with the nux emu amplifier, and the output, to a real amplifier without the emu amp (cause you conect out to ream amp) , without delays or lags and sound simultaneously un the console and the real amp, in a real situation?
Just taken delivery of an NGS6. Manual implies it is just plugged in and links to PC, DAW and Editor app. It doesn't ! None of those recognised the unit. Tried updating drivers but that didn't help. Took me half a day any several emails to the supplier and NUX before finding out that I had to ignore the message on the software updater that says the NGS6 could not be detected before updating the firmware. Why do I have to do that anyway? Surely the supplier – Artist -and/or NUX should ship a turnkey product. It's not for Customers to make things work! After updating and trying many combinations within the editor found that NO combination was to my liking. The only good thing about the NGS6 is that it is a nice clear i/f into my Reaper DAW. Otherwise I don't like it at all!
I have a question. How can you used it to play backing tracks
I just sold my Helix Floor/Powercab+ set up as it was overkill for me (too much time messing about with sounds, not enough just playing). This or the Iridium (over the internet at least) sound more usable to me.

Wow crazy this showed up in my playlist when it was over a year ago I was looking into and buying on of these…it was a decent enough pedal, I used it alot for awhile but I sold it after I got my Arena 2000 and that's been my everything pedal since I got it
I am seriously considering of getting rid of my orange tiny terror for this. The thing is bloody noisy and I would rather have this pedal in my board for live performances with IR and headphone practice, what concerns me is how good it actually sound and whether it has this micro latency like most digital processors do
Lol throw your solid state amp away, but keep your tube amp and stay away from this pedal. This pedal sounds like shit.
If you have to use a computer then I do not want it.
I use a 2 amp setup .. to cut a long story short .. can I send 2 separate tones to 2 different channels in my daw ? If not any recommendations of units that can achieve this ..,? Thanks

Does the headphone out signal really sound like your recording?
Can you give more details on how to connect it into a cabinet? If I understand correctly = Guitar -> Amp Academy (IR off) -> Power amp (such as Mooer Baby Bomb 30) -> Cabinet (such as Orange PPC112).

I’m interested to know whether the signal coming from the xlr output is line level, or if it’s quieter like it would be from a DI. I’d love to find an amp and cab sim that doesn’t need a line isolator like the walrus canvas to get strong signal to front of house.
What is the maximum IR length that this unit can work with, in terms of milliseconds? Cant find the information anywhere
