you're one of very few people I've seen with the same guitar as me
I'm a beginner, so I don't need a head unit like Steve's, but I love the sound of clean reverbs and delay that he uses without spending as much as what that head unit costs. Will an Ethereal pedal be enough? I have a Jackson soloist guitar and excellent sounding audio interface with a nice Crown power amp. I'm looking for lowest cost that's closest to what I hear in this video. Thanks for any help on this.
I just figured out how to setup a sweet amp chain in the free version of Ableton Live (with my Focusrite Solo interface). I don’t own a real amp, only a little POS “Marshall” practice amp, which is absolutely useless. In Ableton I was able to add reverb and fiddle with multiple layers of distortion and EQ’s so that it sounds like I’m rocking in a stadium.
The amp tone availability makes all the difference in the world for my practice and enthusiasm. A great guitar and a great distortion pedal only produce a generic novelty sound, and this has definitely been holding me back for many years. Amp emulation instantly took my playing to another level, where it is thoroughly enjoyable to just sit and rock some rhythms or practice lead. It makes everything sound like a million bucks. When one note sounds beautiful, it’s a lot easier to sit and practice.
Great demo, great amp. I play the H&K BS 200 for more than a year now. Very versatile and powerful amp.
I had Pod HD500x then upgrade to Helix through FRFR speaker. After picking The AMP MODEL, the CAB and then which MIC to use then EQ and GLOBAL EQ and black to fuzzing around with IR….. took hours still don't get a nice tone like your video, but its very portables for a small gig.
This HUGHES&KETTNER really kick-ass!
Dunno if its just my ears but i didn't really notice the sagging thing making much difference
Thanks Steve. This is a big help for my search for the right tone for me. I have been using the Headrush Gigboard and it has been great for recording, jamming, and practice. I would like to test drive the Hughes & Kettering BS200. I always enjoyed your playing and your approach to tone makes good sense. Thanks….
Really helpful as usual Steve. I always have had trouble dialing in tones my ear really likes. With a processor or tons of pedals it can be overwhelming and I for years have tended to get impatient in tone seeking. This was great, thank you so much ????
What use sprit 200 no sound.
… sounds very convincing – which cabinet do you use with the amp?
Steve…I've been looking at the Grandmeister Deluxe 40. It looks like you prefer the Black Spirit 200. I need this mostly for home and rare gigs. Thoughts?
Great vid. Really useful. I’m toying with getting a bs200 though scared to go from a switchblade. Also a jem player so the tips were great. Awesome playing chap.
This video is really useful, thanks

What cabinet would you recommend with it?
Something that makes the amp justice, a good all rounder
This is one of the best sounding demos of the BS200 on YouTube.
I'm a simple man. I see steve with a guitar in his hand, i click.
That H & K Black Spirit 200 is shweeet .. Mine should be getting delivered any day now .. Rock On Steve & always appreciate the great tips you give ..
Thanks, Steve, you gave me some new points of view, great video!!!
I started use a axe 2 x L + I am very new to it i Thank God i had the funds to get it
I know thier a steep learning curve but there seem to be a lot of control as I am been told
This is a virtual amp but sound good Your suppose to Have this wedge type of speakers but
since I live in a small apartment I uses good pair of headphones and being in my 50’s I thought this was for me the way to go
Thank Steve for sharing that very using book mark this God Bless ????????
Steve so do I need to know my pickup frequencies to dial in with the amp or modeler?
