Deluxe Big Muff is the best pedal I ever had. That crossover was amazing for breakdowns when I was in a metal band – I hit it, and the low end was insane and got lots of reactions from the crowd that I loved.
????????????
i recognized ten seconds to love on that first compressor play through ????
That sound at 12:51 is like Shakespeare playing bass lol
Can you get a sound for Muse Uprising using them 5 pedals?
I didn’t hear a difference with the compression pedal
What model is that Jazz Bass ??? That thing is GORGEOUS ????
Too hot to handle bass riff
Shoutout for 10 Seconds to Love. ????????????????
no boss obd -3. huh.
Dude we must be birds of a feather – I've been using the MXR Bass Compressor, Big Muff and Boss Chorus for years and they're my "gotta haves" nowadays. I'd love to try the DarkGlass! Great content – keep Rockin ????
I super appreciate all the info! All the picking hurt my eyes tho ????
Any one tried the boss bass synth pedal? Is it worth it?
Hard to Handle—Otis Redding* famously covered by the Black Crowes
I’m only here for fuzz bass
I know I am in the minority, but the big Muff sounds awful.
Nice job explaining the pedals and demoing how they are used. Thanks!
Hard to Handle – Black Crows
I am definitely a "always on compressor" type of guy. I play through a Helix usually, and will most of the time have a compressor at the beginning of the chain, and the the LA Studio Comp usually at the end as a "post" compressor (like you would use a rack in a studio setting).
I ditched the Big Muffs for the Walrus Audio EON and Ages 5 followed by an MXR 6 band EQ. Amazing fuzz and distortion. For compression you can’t beat the Cali 76. For chorus I discovered the Eddy by ElectroHarmonix. Great sound with vibrato as well. I also use the C4 synth which sounds great and replaces the need for a separate octave and envelope pedal. Also MXR M152 micro flanger and Phase 90 along with the Hall of Fame 2 reverb into an Ampeg SCR DI. Powered by a Voodoo Lab Mondo. Great sounding board.
Awesome demo, dagen ???????????????? I personally liked the darkglass b3k and the boss bass chorus. I use distortion and modulation pedals on bass and I got myself some killer tones with it. Another good modulation pedal to use on bass is flanger. Underrated and radical sounding on bass.
Great review! Thanks for sharing!
Been using my EHX Bass Balls (same one from the 80s) and a driver. Love the vid. Keep the bass thumping. ????
I don’t even play bass so why am I here?
It was hard to handle and you were probably thinking of the black crowds version
Excellent! Keep the bass content coming
I've been playing professionally for many decades. And never had any "must" pedals. I've had "they want you to spend money" equipment of all sorts. But other than a bass a amp and cable. Nothing else was "must"
I still love pedals on bass, my go-tos have always been my guitar pedals like my Boss OD-1X, CH-1 and BF-3, EHX Big Muff and my Cry Baby wah and it sounds awesome, plus it helps me get closer to some of my favourite bass tones (CH-1: Love Will Tear Us Apart – Joy Division (Peter Hook), BF-3, Forty Six & 2 – Tool (Justin Chancellor), Big Muff & Cry Baby: Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth), For Whom the Bell Tolls, Call of Kthulu – Metallica (Cliff Burton))
I have Big Muff and Plasma Pedal.
The first minutes playing through Plasma, i had goosebumps. It so overwhelming.
Bass combined with high voltage. Pure Fun.
You didn't show much crossover on Big Muff. You can make really great sound adjustments with it.
