Essential? Why are they essential?
Many bassists like to go straight in to an amp. Metal bassists like me would never use any of those except overdrives and maybe a fuzz.
You couldn't do this in the long video? (Please: chapters next time!)
And no comp ? ????
No EQ? EQ can do a lot to a bass mix.
You Forced me to get an OC5……I LOVE it. #5 is being ordered NOW.
Fantastic, you did not let hear any of those. But hey, cool casings.
Compressor/ Reverb.
I would’ve said compressor instead of the octave
Difference between fuzz and distortion?
before i got my Helix LT, my chain was digitech BP90 for a while. then i did tuner into Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive, followed by MXR M287 Sub Octave Fuzz, then into an MXR M-83 bass Chorus Deluxe, with the M82 Envelope going into an M300 Reverb. I tried a chain where the BP90 was up front, but that was messing too much with my sound, so i ditched it.
On Helix my sound is compression->drive->fuzz->chorus->envelope/phaser->reverb->amp sim->EQ (10 band). if i need to, i throw a wah or pitch shifter on the upper level and then send it down to my usual (but still modified to best work with pitch shifting) chain for that stuff. if there weren't dual processing, i'd be running an HX one or stomp into the Helix
How about a tuner, compressor, HX One and a Midi controller, (occasionally a C4 synth) and a preamp? ????
Demo plz!!????
Mine are tuner (duh!), drive, compressor, and preamp/DI
Left out the •Tuner pedal ????
Cool but they all cost like 250+ dollars so
Love you guys. Just getting back into playing bass. These are some
Needful things. Thanks
EHX freeze should be in the top 10 for practice!
Is there such a thing as a CLEAN PEDAL ? Maybe it would be a thing that turns fuzz OFF. Am I weird for loving the sound of a CLEAR CLEAN BASS. Although you gotta love Geddy Lee…
Number zero: tuner
No compressor… he talking BS
Ugh… And no compressor. The single most important bass pedal…
