Decent amps. I have a Rumble 40. It's solid but, I still prefer my Peavey Max 112 amp.
My dads old Ashdown is my Favorite, as far as i know my dad is my favorite Ashdown User.

is it just my ears or does Orange amps just sound pretty average to anyone else? i mean they dont sound terrible but they dont sound great either, well not to my ears, the orange should sound better than the fender modelling amp that had digital effects, but to my ears he got better tones from the fender using digital presets than he did from the orange which really shouldn't be happening. to me the fender amp on the studio clean preset was the best sounding tone out of all the amps here.

Idk, the first amp's sound was very abrasive I thought, I played a peavey keyboard amp with a band and the tone was perfect, I'd rather a simpler interface without the bells and whistles if it was appropriate for gigging

Bought the Orange Crush 50 after watching this video. I love it!! Using my Hofner ignition with flats, it gives me loads of range and plenty of power for my use! Still playing with it, but used amp for $200, I did good. Thank you for this review!
Been Playing Bass 30 years I wish that Fender was around when I was a newbie…I might buy one just for my studio. Some of those tones were great.
Neither 1 of my bass amps made the list? Ooh wait reread the title; bass amps that DONT suck. Both of mine are Behringer. So they started out life sucking. Mostly tone. But for as cheap as I got'em, I'll take them. 300 watt 15 in speaker combo. Makes some noise.

You need to try the Monoprice 20W or 40W. Never heard their bass amps but their guitar amps are legit.
This guy wears the right cloths- black T shirt, silver necklace, just enough stubble but he is about a believable as a bass amp that plays distortion. I know many bass players but not too many that dance around like him and make all those faces. Just keeping things real man- settle down. Maybe I'm wrong- maybe he is a a great player and super guy. Just strikes me as a salesy corporate type who was told to go sell some amps. Sort of like the dudes who show up at the bike rally's on new $30k+ machines, dressed in fresh leather jackets with crisp looking boots and homemade patches. I guess they have every right to me there- just don't try to cat like one of us and sell me.
Bottom line, a very good, at home bass amp is the Rumble 40 (not 25.) I actually play and have tried them all. For under $200 it truly cannot be beat. I even liked it more than some of the $400 amp on the floor at GC. It is very adjustable. It has classic bass tones and it's light- about 18lbs. I believe.

I’d recommend the Acoustic amps, a b25c and a b50c are perfect for a starting bass player and they’re super cheap

My favourite Bass player who uses Orange amps is MISA. She plays Black Cloud Bass into Orange Amps. The Barefoot Assassin.
